my friends,
i want to know that where toolbar informations
are stored like (refresh,searh,cut, favourite......)
and where can i see it to in my pc.
|
|
|
|

That depends on the application. Some applications hard-code this stuff, others let you customize it, like Office. But in all cases, the storage of this information is unique and specific to each application. There is no one place that every application stores this stuff.

how can i use xp & 2000 . whenever i have
tried , within two or three days, it becomes clashes.
then plz tell me procedure of that.......
|
|

yes, you can. you must have at least 2 partitions for both systems...
i personnaly dislike having physically several systems at the same time on my hard disks, because they simply take too much place uselessly.
i prefer using virtual machines (virtualPC - eurkkk -, VMWare Workstation) for such a purpose...

This is might be you didn't plan well before install these 2 operating system. If you have an opportunity to try again let do as the below instruction:
*** Support that you have 20GB of hard disk drive and you want to install windows xp and windows 2000 on your computer.
1. First of all is install windows 2000 on your computer. During the installation it will ask you to partition your hard disk, look in its option and partition only 10GB for installing windows 2000. After the installation, the C: drive will have 10GB size with windows 2000 operating system.
2. After windows 2000 install successfully and your can use it as normally, then you need to install windows xp via the boot CDROM. During the installation process it will ask you to choose which disk that you want to use, then choose the remain 10GB disk space that you didn't format. Then it will install the operating system on the second drive.
3. After install successfully, you will have a boot menu to chose which OS you want to run. This mean you install windows xp successfully after install windows 2000.
Note:
- Do not install windows 2000 and windows xp on the same partition. Because it will replace the PROGRAM FILE folder which cause your application could not run correctly.
- Do not install windows 2000 after install windows xp. Windows 2000 need to install before windows xp. Install windows 2000 after windows xp, then your xp OS could not run and you could run only windows 2000. This because of the file NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM is replace on windows xp file (the same file name). But if you already install windows xp and want to install windows 2000 later you could fix this problem by reading this article.[^]

I think this is OS/Admin forum and my Q. is related to OS WindowsXP buttons that xp does not show XP Style buttons using vb.net with an image as i have given a link[^]). In that image buttons are XP style, in vb.net these can be easily displayed by changing flat style to system. But if i want some image on that xp style button, how this is possible!!!

this remains a programming question... even if you think it belongs to WindowsXP...
moreover, you link is broken (i cannot see the picture)

Those aren't "XP Buttons" as you call them. Those are custom button controls in the Nero application. Yeah, they have a certain "look and feel" to them, but that is totally independant of the OS it's running under. Nero has that very same "look and feel" in Windows 2000, where the "XP Buttons" are not possible.
And yes, this is a VB.NET or C#, or whatever language, programming question, not an OS question.

In my opinion, you should not try to turn off any process while you do not know its function. Try to use the method that I just post[^].

open windows in safe mode, look in the Windows Task Manager if there aren't any suspicious programs running, and please scan for any virus (with an up-to-date antivirus)

In order to clear your virus, first of all i suggest you to identify the virus name. By identify the virus name, you can search on the internet (access the internet from any clean machine) about the tool to clean and the security patch that you need to apply to your windows in order to keep it secure. I suggest you to use Microsoft® Windows® Malicious Software Removal Tool (KB890830)[^] and Windows Defender[^]. The first tool will identify what is the virus on your computer and the second tool is the tool that could be clean some virus or spyware on your computer.
After you identify the virus name, you could search its name on the internet and find the method to clean it from your computer.

HI All,
What is the best way to load a dll explicitly? Which all header files and libraries need to be included for that. Actually i am not using gcc. We are using a compiler built internally by our company.
It does not support dllexport and dllimport attributes.
So, i want to link to the dll explicitly using OS calls. So, i want to know for windows/linux which all header files need to be included and which all libraries will be required so that i can include them in my code and see if all build well.
I know the standar procedure is to use LoadLibrary functions. But i have no idea in which files their definitions are present?
Can anybody please provide me the information regarding this?
One mroe question:
Lets say, i have int * i = (int *)0x90000; in my application. Then i write some value to this and then load a dll. In the dll i have another variable pointing to same address 0x90000 . But when i try to read the value in dll i get a different value from the one i set in the application. This is because these addresses are virtual addresses. Can anybody please let me know how this can be done so that both can access same memory.
This issue is very critical. Please help me out.
Regards,
Sapan
