.NET 2.0 includes much richer Email API support within the System.Net.Mail code namespace. I've seen a few questions from folks wondering about how to get started with it. Here is a simple snippet of how to send an email message from “sender@foo.bar.com” to multiple email recipients (note that the To a CC properties are collections and so can handle multiple address targets):
MailMessage message = new MailMessage();
message.From = new MailAddress("sender@foo.bar.com");
message.To.Add(new MailAddress("recipient1@foo.bar.com"));
message.To.Add(new MailAddress("recipient2@foo.bar.com"));
message.To.Add(new MailAddress("recipient3@foo.bar.com"));
message.CC.Add(new MailAddress("carboncopy@foo.bar.com"));
message.Subject = "This is my subject";
message.Body = "This is the content";
SmtpClient client = new SmtpClient();
client.Send(message);
System.Net.Mail reads SMTP configuration data out of the standard .NET configuration system (so for ASP.NET applications you’d configure this in your application’s web.config file). Here is an example of how to configure it:

Salam,
First, do you have an SMTP server installed on one of your machines?? Or do you have an email with SMTP support (free webmails like yahoo, hotmail..etc do not allow to send emails programmatically through their SMTP servers...)
Once you have a valid SMTP server, here's some code to do so :

mail.From = "your email or name";<br />

i have a rediobutton and a dropdownlist and when the form loaded rediobutton.checked = false and dropdownlist be disable(means dropdownlist.enable = false) and i want after load when i select rediobutton (means rediobutton.checked = true) dropdownlist be enable
how can i do this work

just set the autopostback property of radio button true, then on RadioButton1_CheckedChanged event write dropdown.enabled=true;

Hey,
You need to set the radionbutton AutoPostback property to 'true'..
Then by double clicking the radiobutton, VS creates a method radiobutton_checkedchanger(..) where you write the code to enable the dropdownlist..
I'd rather suggest you use a checkbox instead of a radiobutton.

i have one web grid. it has a column with date value. when edititng this column(date column) with an invalid date, the column is replaced with some valid date. how can i get rid from this

Hiya all.
I'm about to do a new website where I need to use "friendly urls" (which I think the term is), but as I've read more about the topic, I've gotten to say the least, a bit confused about which avenue to explore most.
What I'd like to end up with is that when the user enters for instance: www.domain.com/products/productnumber.aspx that I'll then subtract the productnumber and handle it internally as if the user had typed: www.domain.com/default.aspx?pageid=xxx&productid=yyy.
(Naturally can be other types of urls, but the situation is the same)
As I understand it there seems to currently be two ways of creating these friendly urls.
1) Use HttpContext.RewriteUrl("new url") in the application.beginrequest in global.asax
2) Use/trap 404 errors on a custom page
I am unsure which of these two methods are the best and what the pros and cons on each of them are.
I haven't found many ressources which mentions both and when I do it is often in comments and not an comparison of these.
Any advice on which of the two methods to use, or possible ressources pointing to a comparison, or perhaps even a third way?

Its generally a bad idea to use error conditions in the flow of normal logic, so handling 404's will be the bad way to go about it.
Rewriting URL's using the BeginRequest method would be my prefered option.

I accesed Microsoft word 2003 on my website by add reference. I want to let my user to create word document in word 2003 while using website. I want to restrict my user to dont save the word document in his/her local machine . I want to save this file just in the sql server database table while using word 2003 on website.
using BLOB for saving word document into table of sql server without using word 2003 is not a problem. but how I can redirect the document towards table of sql server , when my user save the word 2003 document via save or save as dialog. by using vb.net in web application how I can control this issue.
can you please help me in this issue by any code or link

You can't restrict the user that way, and I'm not sure you want to.
The only way I can think of for the user to send your server a Word file through an ASP.NET application would be through a file upload control, which would necessitate the user saving the file on his/her machine first, then browsing for it in the file upload control.
I would think another approach would be to have a special Word 2003 toolbar installed for your users that would have a "save to server" button which could (perhaps? I've never tried this, so I'm guessing here) use VBA code to send the current document to your server...

does anyone know of any efficient way of catching the differences between two DataTables containing the same structure? What im trying to do is basically update my db table with any new, updated, deleted records from another DataTable. Is there any kind of function in the DataSet object that helps accomplish such a task?

I wanna know how it s possible in C# to save a file on harddisk. I got a web site where u can download some files but the problem is that i want to let the user chose the place where to save it like when u right click on a pic then "Save As" and so u a got a browse folder that comes. If someone got an idea to do the same thing ...
ps: i already can download the file but i put the path and it s not really professional
