You can use Photoshop to create thumbnails for images and then open larger image upon clicking thumbnails.

Hi I hope some one can help me with this because it is driving me mad.
I am using c# asp.net 2 and I am trying to add a button dynamically to the web page on a post back from when a user clicks an asp.net button.
I am able to add the buttons dynamically, however I am unable to use any events that go with them.
I have been reading a lot of articles and they say if you want to add a button dynamically you have to add it in the page load event. I have tried this and yet still the events for the buttons do not work. I am guessing that all the articles I have read are for asp.net 1.1
Does any one know how to add buttons dynamically and use there events under .net 2 for asp.net with c#.
Thx for any help
Scott.

Below is a quick example for what you might want to do:
<%@ Page Language="C#" %>
<script runat="server">
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (ViewState["DynamicButtonAdded"]!=null)
{
Button dynamicButton = new Button();
dynamicButton.Text = "Dynamic Button";
PlaceHolder1.Controls.Add(dynamicButton);
dynamicButton.Click += delegate { Response.Write("Dynamic Button Clicked"); };
}
}
protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (ViewState["DynamicButtonAdded"] == null)
{
Button dynamicButton = new Button();
dynamicButton.Text = "Dynamic Button";
PlaceHolder1.Controls.Add(dynamicButton);
ViewState["DynamicButtonAdded"] = true;
}
}
</script>
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" >
<head runat="server">
<title>Untitled Page</title>
</head>
<body>
<form id="form1" runat="server">
<div>
<asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Add Dynamic Button" On_Click="Button1_Click" />
<br />
<asp:PlaceHolder ID="PlaceHolder1" runat="server"></asp:PlaceHolder>
</div>
</form>
</body>
</html>

It keeps the track of your screen positions during the postbacks. But this works in IE only.

Hi Amaneet,
You can use javascript like this.
Syntax:
window.open (URL, windowName[, windowFeatures])
Example:
window.open ("http://www.dotnetspider.com",
"mywindow","status=1,toolbar=1");
Also visit this link it will be quite helpful

Hey Guys,
We are building a web based tool in ASP.NET. In the tool, we are using DOTNETCharting solution to show some charts.These charts are rendered as .png images on the aspx pages. Some questions -
1. Can I implement cache on these images ?
2. If yes then how...?
3. Is there any other way to improve the performance on these charts apart from caching?
Please help...

I would like to have a button for each row in the GridView control so that when it is clicked, a call is made to the database.
Do I use a buttonField for this? if so how do I pass the id for that row and which event fires the click of this button?
Thanks

There are many ways to do what you might want, you can use one of the fields in the GridView control: ButtonField , CommandField , and TemplateField . To execute a command to the database, you can have the control do that for you by configuring the GridView control with a datasource control, then configure the CommandName of the button with a standard name like Add,Edit, Delete. In addition, you can manage to do that on your own by using the RowCommand event to handle a general command caused by a button placed in the GridView control. You can read more about the GridView control in MSDN to see how to play with it.

If you're in 2.0, check that iis is configured to run asp.net 2.0 for that site
