Can you please elaborate which windows message need to pump?
|
|
|
|
|
Assuming you're not stuck in a thread deadlock or endless loop, you can do something like this
periodically (PumpMessage() is in CWinThread class):
MSG msg;
while (::PeekMessage(&msg, NULL, 0, 0, PM_NOREMOVE))
{
if (!PumpMessage())
{
::PostQuitMessage(0);
break;
}
}
Is your app really working that hard?

Doesn't putting a "\n" in the string being displayed do the same.
Somethings seem HARD to do, until we know how to do them.

No...
I want to do it through my code.
If the Text size is greater than the static control size, i need to split the text in to two line.
Hope you understand my requirement.

Actually adding \n is the correct method. If it's not working, then you're not doing it correctly.

It depends on the style of your static control. SS_SIMPLE will will display the text on a single line with no wrapping. SS_LEFT, SS_CENTER, and SS_RIGHT will automatically break the string and wrap the text to the next line.

I have (what I believe to me) a rather novel way to do it. I will let you know if it works when I re-release InstaLock again...
Peace!

This hides the window.
You can use
pParent.ShowWindow(SW_MINIMIZE);

Is that the actual code?
If so, you're creating a local window class object, and hiding it. You're not hiding the parent window at all, since that object isn't the parent window

Dear All,
When using pointers , I am getting error like "Access Violation".
What it is ? Why this is coming ?
I know this seems to be a silly question. I dont know any other way.
Help me ...
thanks.

It is because you access memory that you shouldn't. You probably read or write at an invalid address (0x0000000 or an unitialized pointer). Use your debugger to see where it happens.
|
|
|
|
|
Probably you would be writing to some invalid memory location that you have not yet initialized,
Try using the debugger to get to the root of this problem.

Or you are probably trying to deallocate block of memory which was allocated by another dll
