I have (what I believe to me) a rather novel way to do it. I will let you know if it works when I re-release InstaLock again...

If so, you're creating a local window class object, and hiding it. You're not hiding the parent window at all, since that object isn't the parent window

It is because you access memory that you shouldn't. You probably read or write at an invalid address (0x0000000 or an unitialized pointer). Use your debugger to see where it happens.

Probably you would be writing to some invalid memory location that you have not yet initialized,
Try using the debugger to get to the root of this problem.

Or you are probably trying to deallocate block of memory which was allocated by another dll

I put F9 at DrawKeyBackGround() function but debugger disabled it and I could not debug this function . What is this _WINDU_SOURCE ?

It's a pre-processor macro which means that it will be checked before the compilation. If you cannot debug there, it simply means that the macro is not defined thus no code is generated for this section.

I do not understand . In fact the function inside the block is very important so that the bitmap itself is BlgBlt there . So if code is not generated for this function then the bitmap could not be displayed - but it is displayed !!

This code is for the WM_ERASEBKGND, not for the WM_PAINT message. So, probably there is something also for the WM_PAINT message.
