function open_PopupWindow()
{
window.open('testpage.htm','null',"height=500, width=600,status=yes,toolbar=yes, menubar=yes,location=no");
}
You can do another way also only you have to import SHDocVw dll and create the object of InternetExplorerClass and use navigate method
SHDocVw.InternetExplorerClass objects = new InternetExplorerClass();
objects.Navigate("http://localhost:3934/TestForForums/Default.aspx", ref empty, ref empty, ref empty, ref empty);
objects.AddressBar = true;
objects.IWebBrowserApp_MenuBar = false;
objects.IWebBrowserApp_StatusBar = false;
objects.IWebBrowserApp_ToolBar = 0;
objects.Visible = true;

Hi,
I am working in asp.net 2.0. I am including calendar control and adding textbox with each cell thro the following code on calendar dayrender event.
TextBox tb = new TextBox();
tb.BorderWidth = 1;
tb.BorderColor = Color.FromArgb(140, 186, 236); //Color.SkyBlue;
tb.Width = 30;
tb.Style.Add("color", "#ff0000");
tb.Style.Add("text-align", "center");
tb.ID = e.Day.Date.ToString();
if (tb.Text == "")
{
tb.Text = "0";
}
e.Cell.Controls.Add(tb);
The above code adds textbox with every cell of calendar and put its text as "0". But now i want to give "V" for some textboxes for eg. if the date is 4th July, Jan 1, Dec 25 like this then instead of "0" that particular textboxes text will be like "V". Please Help Me.
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Prya

HI all
i have created a web application in VS 2005 it is runnig fine now i want to check it from another machine PLease What address will have to give Do i need to create Virtual directory or anything
|

You'll have to have a version of IIS installed. IIS on winxp pro supports only one website, so for creating a new website you'll have to have IIS installed on a win server (NT, 2003 you name it). If you want to test on your winxp machine, you must create a virtual dir (application).
In case you created a new website on a server machine, you can visit the website by adding the website name in you hosts file (drive:\\window\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) and typing the url of the website in your browser.
In case you added a virtual dir in IIS on your workstation, enter http://yourcomputername/VirtualDirName/startpage.aspx

hi all
i want to change font-weight of the hyperlink which is in masterpage

Use the Page.Master property to get a reference to the master page. Cast it to the exact class of your master page to access it's members.
---
b { font-weight: normal; }
|

|
hi
i have to change it font at runtime when the content page is load
thanks

srinandan.. wrote: hi

The content page is never loaded separately from the master page. Together they form the finished (x)html document that is sent to the browser.
---
b { font-weight: normal; }
|
|
|
|
|
Inside the content page
Dim HyperLink1 as HyperLink
HyperLink1=CType(Master.FindControl('HyperLink1'),HyperLink)
HyperLink1 now contains the reference of HyperLink1 control placed in the master page
Use Hyperlink1 to manipulate as you would do on a normal page.

Hi Friends,
I am have been facing a strange problem since long time. I have tried to find its solution from many places but I could not succeed.
The problem is like following.
I my web application I am providing facility to upload images to the server.
I have managed to open the file open dialoge box using "File" control of html and get the select file path in a server side text.
Now I am copyiny that file to the server by following code.
FileInfo fImageFile = new FileInfo(txtCompImagePath.Text);
if(fImageFile.Exists)
{
fImageFile.CopyTo(MapPath(ImageDirPath + "/"fImageFile.Name, true);
}
Everything works fine until user selects his image from the folder My Folder of from the Desktop.
I mean when user select image from My Documents of from the Desktop the fImageFile.Exists returns false that means is tells that the file with specified path is not there.
If user select image from any other folder from any drive it works fine and file copying goes smoothly but Images from My documents and Desktop folders could not be copied. and moreover I woder why is shows that the file doesnt exist while the file resides the physically.
Can any please tell the cause and solution for this?
Thanks to all of you in advance.

I am not familiar with the way you're uploading the files and the problems sounds really weird...
but here is the best way to upload a file by using the FileUpload control:
<br />
if (oFile.PostedFile != null)<br />
{<br />
string fullFileName = oFile.PostedFile.FileName;<br />
string fileName = System.IO.Path.GetFileName(fullFileName);<br />
<br />
oFile.PostedFile.SaveAs(Server.MapPath(string.Empty) + "\\" + fileName);<br />
}<br />
this code will upload the file to the requested directory... (you can easily change the saving directory by editing the parameter in the SaveAs function..)
and it should work with no problems...
Good luck,
Tal Kain.

dvViewOrder = new DataView(dtViewOrder);<br />
dvViewOrder.Sort = "VOD_ProductCategory ASC";<br />
if (dtViewOrder.Rows.Count >= 2)<br />
dtViewOrder.Rows.RemoveAt(dtViewOrder.Rows.Count - 1);<br />
OrderList.DataSource = dvViewOrder;<br />
OrderList.DataBind();
Even tough I am removing it afte sorting. It is removing a row and then sorting.
Can anyone help

Why don't u do that on the database side?
I mean in a stored procedure u get the number of total rows and the select using "Set Rowcount " [the number - 1]

If you want to convert a hexa value to a decimal then have a look at the overloads of the Parse[^] method with the NumberStyles parameter.
|
|
|
|
|
If you are using 2.0 you may want to consider using TryParse. That will avoid the exception when the string can't be converted.
only two letters away from being an asset
