Hi, folks!
Ok, here's the scene: I have an html page into which I want to put some data from an SQL database. The page uses the following code to do that:
var xmlDoc = new ActiveXObject("MSXML2.DomDocument.3.0");<br />
xmlDoc.async=false;<br />
try<br />
{<br />
xmlDoc.load("DbInterface.asp?Method=QueryRecs&TheSN="+TheSN.value);<br />
}<br />
catch (e)<br />
{<br />
alert ("Error Loading XmlDoc: " + e.description);<br />
delete xmlDoc;<br />
return;<br />
}<br />
<br />
Ok, now in DbInterface.asp I get and return the recordset by use of the following:
var rs=Server.CreateObject("adodb.recordset");<br />
rs.Open (sql,conn,adOpenKeyset);<br />
rs.Save (Response, adPersistXML);<br />
rs.close;<br />
This all works quite well, but here's my question: I had once figured out how to have DbInterface.asp display the XML of the recordset instead of returning it to the calling page. This made it pretty easy to see if the recordset was correct. I thought I had just replaced the rs.Save call with Response.Write (rs) and using window.open instead of xmlDoc.Load in the calling page, but I get the following error:
Response object, ASP 0185 (0x8002000E)<br />
A default property was not found for the object.<br />
Is anyone out there able to jog my memory? TIA!
[Edit]
Oh, and is there a way to avoid the Confirm dialog when using Window.Close() ?

I assume Microsoft would not use doors, because using Windows is faster.

Hi guys, new to Web Service.
How do I load an Soap XML document posted by client. Here is my WS code:
[SoapDocumentMethodAttribute(Action = "xmlIncoming", RequestNamespace = "urn:schemas-fbbWS-soap",
ResponseNamespace = "urn:schemas-fbbWS-soap",
ParameterStyle = SoapParameterStyle.Bare)]
[WebMethod(Description = "XML Web Service Echo.")]
public XmlElement xmlIncoming([XmlAnyElement]XmlElement inputXML)
{
return inputXML;
}
I tried loading it using XmlReader so that I can validate it but it does not work.
Thanks in advance.

My class is called cwcComboBox, and it inherits from the System.Web.UI.WebControls.ListBox class, so I created a sub called cwcComboBox with no parameters to be my classes constructor, but I never see the message box I put at the end of it, so I don't think it's being called.
I want to put a bunch of initialization code in the constructor that will be run before the properties get called. If not in a constructor, where should I put this code?
If I do use a constructor, how do I call the MyBase's constructor?
Thank you.

Too much C# for me. I forgot that New was the constructor for a class in VB.Net. Coming from C++ and C# I thought it was the name of the class. Anyway now that I'm using New, I can use the MyBase.New() to call the constructor for the base class.
So this issue is solved

Friends...any one can guide me about how can i implement PaymentGateway(PAYPAL ,Escrow, HSBC and Other CreditCards) in my application which is on asp.net 2.0 with c#..
Please help me i urgently need this and i don't know about it.
Thanks in Advance

Implementing such things depends on the documentation and on the API that each payment gateway provides to you.
In a more general idea, I would implement a wrpper class around each gateway implementaion in order to provide future flexibility.

The providers must supply you with the API documentation...
In other words, you need to contact Paypal, Escrow, HSBC and ask them for their API Documnentation.
I think you should be able to find the Paypal API docs on their website. I am afraid that for the rest you will have to contact them.

The Modal attribute in window.open() is not working in Firefox 2.0 browser.
I don't know whether it is possible at all.

It appears that you do not have access to the directory you are trying to access.

I am trying to automate a process in which we access a web site with a digital certificate and login/password. A web form is filled out and then submitted. I want to do a web request (POST) to submit the information, but do not know how to use the digital certificate and login/password authentication in code. Anyone have experience with something similar?
Thanks

What is your environment. If you are on Windows platform look at the Crypto API on MSDN.

Once the email has been sent, there is no way to track delivery success other than 'Disposition Notification' Headers.
You can have a MailQueue service to process requests on the background. Check out http://www.persits.com/[^]

Hey
I am developing a site to sell a service, at the moment it uses encryption to handle passwords etc and i plan to use paypal as the method of transaction while the site is small. However if the site were to take off I would like to be able to offer card transactions. I realise there is a lot of risk for the customer using this method so I was wondering if any one can offer any help and/or articles on the topic of secure card transactions over the net.
I have looked at SSL - would this be the way forward?
Not sure this is the correct forum so sorry if it is not but it seemed the closest fit.
Cheers
Dan.

SSL is the best way to protect your users on the browser, but you need to look at the security all the way through the system, and not just at the front end, e.g. protecting your users credentials at the server, etc, which goes beyond just encrypting user passwords.
