You'd think this would be very easy, but it has some surprising problems and complexity.
You can get a bindable component to read the CSV file for you here[^].

The command line for launching the installation in silent mode is:
dotnetfx.exe /q:a /c:"install /l /q"
Just over half way down this[^] page, there is an explaination of the switched used and what the error returns would be.
All you need to do is use the Process class to launch it, just like any other process.

Are you coming from VB6?
If so, I had (actually have) the same problem.
In VB6 everything was so simple using the Winsock control, now in .Net everyone tells me it's so much simpler, but I disagree. There is so many different ways to do the same thing that a new programmer gets confused very easily, not knowing which way is best. The winsock had simple events that fired allowing you to capture incoming data and connection requests, in .Net you have to use delegates it seems. I haven't looked at it again, too busy but have a look at the TCPClient class and the System.Net.Sockets class.

Examples are easy enough to find. Just Google for "VB.NET Chat" and you'll come up with thousands of links to examples, most of which use sockets.

Hi All,
I am trying to run a vb.net exe on another machine.I am then getting the following error."The application failed to initialize properly(0xc0000135).Click on OK to terminate the application."
Can anyone please tell me what is the problem.

By pasting the error message in to a search engine the first hit suggests the error is becuase the target machine does not have the .NET framework installed.

Hi All,
I have two files "example.sys" and "example.inf" files along with my application "example.exe".I want to create a setup file on executing which "example.exe" should be listed in "Start->Program files" and the "example.sys" and "example.inf" should be copied to system32 directory.

So you need to create an installer. An option maybe using NSIS that is a great opensource one.

hi all,
i have tied to add a rference to my windowsapplication,
the name of the library is
microsoft excel 11.0 object library
but it is not working , i have got a warnig also.
when i tried to create an object then i have got an error like this
"microsoft.office.interop.excel.application is not defined"
i dont know why i am unable to register taht particualr dll, can anybody help me.
