Hi,
I have a frameset(in default.aspx) with two vertical panes. In the left pane i have added "default1.aspx" and in the right pane i have added "default2.aspx". It works fine with the following code..
<frameset cols="*,*" frameborder="NO" border="0" framespacing="0">
<frame src="default1.aspx" name="leftFrame" scrolling="no" style="border:1px solid #99ABBD" >
<frame src="default2.aspx" name="rightFrame" scrolling="no" style="border:1px solid #99ABBD" >
</frameset>
I was trying to close the window(frameset) with the following code
Window.close();
But it doesn't works, can anyone tell me how to close a window(with frameset) programatically.
Thanking you
Sebastian

Hi,
First of all, JavaScript is case sensitive, therefore - window.close();
Second, you can close only the window you opened from the code. Otherwise, you will be asked to confirm the action (IE) or will be ignored (FF 2.0). There is a trick to avoid the confimation in IE:
...
window.opener = self;
window.close();
but it seems to me that in IE 7.0 it does not work anymore (not sure).
If you are in a frame you can refer to the topmost window (the window that contains the frameset) via top property:
window.top.close();

It would not be an ExecuteNonQuery, that is more for update or insert statements, a command that does not return data.
Try reseaching the ExecuteReader method

<asp:Label ID="Label2" runat="server"<br />
BorderStyle="None" Width="80px"<br />
Text="date:" /><br />
<asp:TextBox ID="txtdate" runat="server" /><br />
<br />
<asp:RequiredFieldValidator<br />
ID="RequiredFieldValidator2" runat="server"<br />
ControlToValidate="txtdate"<br />
ErrorMessage="Required." /><br />
<br />
the above code is field validator.
is there a function to make sure the entered date is today and days after?(any time after today)

Try with Javascript for the Date Validation.

You could use a CustomValidator control and supply either a Javascript or Serve-Side method, or both.

I have a table in aspx page and I dragged a dropdownlist from toolbox. When I tried to change it's ID e.g ddlUser it gives me a messagebox saying that if you have references in markup they will not be removed.
What does it means and it is not allowing me to change the name of the control.
Thanks

It probably means that the toolbox sucks, you should just write your aspx page by hand.
What happens if you go into the code and change it ?
