Chris,
It would be very helpful to have a button (or a link) that displays links to the most recent (10 or 20) comments directed to a particular author. This will make it easier for article authors to respond to user questions quickly without going through each article looking for new comments.
Ok, I agree that some authors, I mean Nish, don't need this feature.

Building on that I would desparately like some form of e-mail notice when an Anonymous person posts a comment on my articles.
More than once I've missed a comment because it was anonymous. 
Nothing that important though, for most authors an anonymous post means its a troll anyway

Yeah, me too. And if it's a valuable comment, i'm torn between thanking them for it and flaming them for making me miss it by posting anonymously!

I don't know about you, but it seems to me that the e-mail notice does not work always. I would say about 70% of the time

You should always get an e-mail notice when a member replies; anonymous replies don't give you a reply.
Sometimes the reply notices bounce back though, either your mail server is down temporarily, or there is another problem that causes it to bounce.

I think it is obvious that older articles have the chance to viewed more than new ones.So it is not fair.

The number of viewings tells you nothing except that the description or keywords are good
Iwould be handy, however, if the list of article by section gave the number of views as well as the score and even more handy (for authors) if the "my articles" list gave the view count, score and number of votes.

Even so, ignoring it isn't going to achieve anything. Working out why these people feel this way and attempting to address whatever real or imagined problem they have may achieve something. And, of course, you can't know for sure that it isn't feedback on the content of the article unless you ask them why they voted in that way and what you could do to improve the article.
So, I stand by my original suggestion that making it easy for authors to view this information is useful, even if the author would rather the figures told a different story. Or, perhaps there should be an option we can set in our settings to say how much higher than reality we'd like the scores on our articles to be when we look at them

well if u're as sick as i'm, using the proposed rating scheem. You can view your own article and increase it's rating.

Pickung up a suggestion in the lounge:
What about a list of "My favorite articles" for everyone to see?
It could be similar to the bookmarks technically, but I would keep them separate - bookmarks for tech issues, come and go, and "favorites" (or recommendations to avoid confusion) for what we want to tell every fellow CPian we think is ingenious.
Would also make an interesting way of walking through articles - I could almost forget about tghe "random walk"

Having a bookmark section and a favourites would be doubling up. I think a better option is to allow readers to view each other's bookmarks and have the option of hiding some or all of your bookmarks from others.
