hi Prasad,
you must have a got a pretty decent idea by now about the CellBeginEvent.
In the same, you need to validate the text to be of integer type.
Use the following piece of code for DataGrid1, its row 1 and cell 1
if (!Char.IsDigit(e.KeyChar) && e.KeyChar !=(char)8)
{
MessageBox.Show("The text that you have entered is not integer.");
}
else
{
LoggerDatagrid.Rows[1].Cells[1].Value = integer value that you want;
}
I hope this helps.

Hi,
After binding datagridview with dataset, when users modify, add or delete the datagridview rows, I want to use datasource of datagridview to run OleCommandBuilder object. But an error appears "Unable to cast object of type bindingsource to type datatable"
I am very confused and have you help me how to convert nimdingsource to datatable.....
[Code]
OleDbDataAdapter adap = new OleDbDataAdapter("Select * from tblVATTU where VATTU_ID = ''", con.con);
temp = new DataTable();
MessageBox.Show(dgvVATTU.DataSource.GetType().ToString());
temp = (DataTable)dgvVATTU.DataSource ; // error is here
OleDbCommandBuilder buider = new OleDbCommandBuilder(adap);
adap.FillSchema(temp, SchemaType.Source);
adap.Fill(temp);
It seem to be a solution or an answer.

Hi,
You need to fill dataset first,
<br />
Dataset dsFunction = New DataSet();<br />
OleDbDataAdapter adap = new OleDbDataAdapter("Select * from tblVATTU where VATTU_ID = ''", con.con);<br />
temp = new DataTable();<br />
adap.Fill(dsFunction);<br />
temp = dsFunction.Tables[0];<br />

If the datagrid is empty, then fill it first. And then try to bind the table to the datasource.
DataGrid1.Rows.Add(1); <br />
DataGrid1.Rows[1].Cells[1].Value = "Some String";

Hi
I am Fresher. i want desing the login page in C#.Net. Using the SqlServer. please give me code or ideas

What does 'fresher' mean ? What part do you already know how to do ? What part is confusing you ? You didn't ask in the ASP.NET forum, do you mean this to be a web page ?

Indian English for new recruit, raw out of college. On an unrelated note, why do you insert a space before your question marks?
Cheers,

Because, when I was in primary school, I was taught to put a space before an after a question mark. Not saying this is 100% right, but it's what I learned, so it's how I do it.

i assume, you did not mean web page.
well, you can use sql server or any other database.
You will have to create database/tables either through the code or should be available in advance.
Accordingly you have to create connection, and a command to read/write/update accordingly.
There are lots of sites explaning the connection to the database.

Hi!
I am a bit lost. I want to upload multiple files and key-value pairs via HTTP post.
A single file and a single collection of key-value pairs is easy. You just have to use the System.Net.WebClient class and its UploadFile, UploadValues method.
Can anyone explain to me how to post both files and values with one request? I would very much appreciate any hint!
TIA

Hi guys, I have a class as described below
Class#1
IsmartBall <---->An Interface
SmartBall <---->Methods Implementated
All I want to do is that in my form1 OnPaint method if i instantiated smartBall i.e
smartBall sm = smarthBall() so smartBall should be drawn on form1. How may I achieve this functionality. In my smartBall class constructor how can I call it's OnPaint method. Any suggestion i am lost
thanks in advance

You can't EVER call OnPaint. You call Invalidate() to force a paint event, which calls it. Does this solve the problem ? If your form is invalidated, then the controls on the form will be, too.

Thanks for your reply, So how may I build my ping pong game. What I was thinking about is that to instantiatea smartBall class so I can get a ball object to be drawn anywhere I want. Lets say later on, I want to provide a user to drag and drop a ball from a panel of their choice to be played on the board. Please suggest me how can I construct this game looking forward.
Thanks

The last thing you want, is a control which represents a ball. You may well have a class that represents a ball, but you should just be drawing in your onpaint ( or better yet, in DirectX ), not moving controls about.

I'm trying to program a "Windows Control Library" (aka User Control) which is to be embedded into an Internet Explorer webpage. The only way that I've found to be able to call javascript functions from the C# code is to use DOM but this raises a security exception unless I use the .NET Framework Configuration Tool to give it the necessary permissions.
Is there any way to allow an embedded control to call a javascript function without changing settings on the client side?

How do I change default startup icon in application?
Thanks in advance.

Right-click the project in the solution explorer, click menu properties, Application tab, Resources Group ->Icon. This will be slightly different in pre-VS.NET 2005 programming packages.

Hello!
hope you all are doing fine! can anyone help me with the simplest possible way of authenticating a windows user(local account) taking login name and password as input?
tried with the WindowsIdentity and WindowsIdentityMembers but they deal with token, i simply want to take the login name and password, and display error if the user is not the valid user of the local machine!
Thanks in advance! !
