I am using ShellExecute command to open a batch file but I have to capture the display when the batch file is open. Is this possible in VC++.
ShellExecute(m_hWnd,"open","Yamini.bat",NULL,NULL,SW_SHOWNORMAL);
After executing this command I have to capture the display in the screen so that I can use it later in my code

you mean, using the image, of the text output ?
what exactly are you trying to do here ?
can't you just put a pause at the end of the .bat, and manually select the text to copy if that's what you're after ?

He's trying to redirect the output of a console application, much like:
C:> dir > dir.out
will take the output of the dir command and redirect it from standard out to a file instead.

It comes in the middle of an automated process and no manual interaction is not possible

For starters, create a dialog-based project, and add a list control to it. Turn on the control's LVS_REPORT style. Before messing around with images, get your code working such that it will display the various network members. Then, add images to the first column. You'll need to create an image list (see CImageList ) of all the images you plan on using.

You have to open (using CreateFile) the driver that is associated with the device. Then you can use ReadFile and WriteFile to read or write data to the driver.
But it depends also of the kind of device you are using. Can you provide more information ?

No, because I don't have any information to give a piece of code. What device are you trying to communicate with ?

Come on, Cedric, it's a universal serial device!

Well, that depends on the driver for your specific device.
If your device's USB driver acts like a serial-port then you need the ReadFile() and WriteFile() (just like in a serial port)
Otherwise, you'll have to refer to the documentation/spec of your device ...
