You want to write a public "property" for that.(For user control)
So you can access that property in your aspx page
To succeed, we must first believe that we can.

Solution could be make that text box as public

Hi,
Can you show how you are calling "ShowDate()" function?
To succeed, we must first believe that we can.

<tr>
<td>
<asp:textbox id="txtid1" runat="server"></asp:textbox>
<a hrf="javascript:;" onclick="ShowDate('txtid1');">click</a>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<asp:textbox id="txtid2" runat="server"></asp:textbox>
<a hrf="javascript:;" onclick="ShowDate('txtid2');">click</a>

chinese_pan wrote: click
Change "hrf" to "href". Return false from the event to prevent the link from being activated.
<a href="" onclick="ShowDate('txtid1');return false;">click</a>
Do you get any Javascript error message?

Try Writing:
document.getElementById("txtid").value = "TEST";
Instead Of
document.getElementById(txtid).value = "TEST";

Hi Navneet,
He is passing 'txtid' in to the function.Then...
I think the problem is how he is calling the function.
To succeed, we must first believe that we can.

Hi,
you need to add this into GAC.
eg:- regsvr32 C:\yourDLLname.dll
