Hi,
I've got an ASP.NET application which has an editable datagrid linked to an access database. I'm looking to update a field in the database with the username of the person logged into the network to show the last person to update that record. Being new to ASP.NET I'm not sure where to start, would anyone have any links to good articles showing how to go about this?
Many Thanks
Rob

i am adding a usercontrol on an aspx file.[.ascx file]
in usercontrol i am having a textbox.

You want to write a public "property" for that.(For user control)
So you can access that property in your aspx page
To succeed, we must first believe that we can.

Hi,
Can you show how you are calling "ShowDate()" function?
To succeed, we must first believe that we can.

chinese_pan wrote: click
Change "hrf" to "href". Return false from the event to prevent the link from being activated.
<a href="" onclick="ShowDate('txtid1');return false;">click</a>
Do you get any Javascript error message?

Try Writing:
document.getElementById("txtid").value = "TEST";
Instead Of
document.getElementById(txtid).value = "TEST";

Hi Navneet,
He is passing 'txtid' in to the function.Then...
I think the problem is how he is calling the function.
To succeed, we must first believe that we can.

Hi,
you need to add this into GAC.
eg:- regsvr32 C:\yourDLLname.dll
