How to make crystal report in vb.net.
I dont no how to start with it. I cant see crystal report option in my package.
where it is usually found. How to to start.

You need to install it during the installation process of Visual Studio.

With Visual Studio 2002 (.NET 1.0), Visual Studio 2003 (.NET 1.1) you get CrystalReports.NET bundled along with ASP.NET, C#, VB. During installation you can specify the installation of Crystal Reports.
As far as with VB 6.0, Crystal Reports had to be installed separately and then called from the VB code.
Once you install Visual Studio 2002 or 2003, you can create a project. After creating the project you can go to Project -> Add New Item -> Crystal Report.
( You will find Crystal Report in the Templates box of Add New Item dialog box.

1. right click on project name in server explorer
2. select add new item
3. from dialogue box select crystal report.
4. on next screen select blank report.
i think from this you can create reports.there are some more steps but before further preceding check this.
if you are not able to find all this then it means that there was some problem with you installation.

I have a page called one.aspx with gridviEw which display customerid,productid,productname & so on... from database and i have 1 Textboxes for customerid on gridview & also contains linkbutton next to customerid textbox. when i click thatlinkbutton it opens popupwindow called child.aspx.
in that child.aspx page contain the list of customer details on gridview control.
i have linkbutton on that gridview.if i click on that linkbutton employeeid value should post to parent page gridview control on that particular index clicked.

Hello !
i,am using Visual Studio 2005 and i,am not able to find the imagelist property in the properties window of a toolstrip control that i have added in the form designer after adding the buttons in the toolstrip .Is the toolbar control and the toolstrip control the same ? I have added the imagelist control from the components section of toolbox to the project.I know how to link a imagelist control to a toolstrip/toolbar.How will i see the imagelist property in the properties window ?

You won't see it in the Properties window. The ImageList property is only available in code.

eg I want to type "c" in the the text box. then the list box must show all stock items where there description begins with c

The program is in Vb.net 2005
and the Database is SQL DATABASE
I would love if my stock screen did the following
user clicks on textbox
Types "p"
Then the listbox that i have below it will scoll the product database and show the product with the closest description
Like how some sap programes Do that [ yet they have 500000 items]

Reading text from a text file is as simple as File.ReadAllText. Passing it into a web page, is more complex, you'd have to host the browser in your app, and insert the text using the DOM.
