I can't see any way to get past the first page. The error has nothing to do with the details you enter, its a problem with the SQL Server connection your application is trying to open (as is evident from the error message)

Try this
string treeNodeValue="value of the tree node";
int intTreeCount=0;
foreach (TreeNode tn in TreeView1)
{
if (TreeView1.Nodes[intTreeCount].Value == treeNodeValue)
{
Code for Adding child nodes here...
}
intTreeCount++;
}

I've seen this same question in a few places but no answers so I'm really hoping someone can help cause it's kinda urgent (i.e. my boss is really on my case about it!)
I have created an asp.net web service project with Visual Studio 2005. It works perfectly when run within the Studio environment. I now need to deploy it and added a web setup project to my solution. But when I try to add the "Primary Output" the only option I am presented with is the "Content Files". Where is the "Primary output"?
Everything I've read indicates there should be one and trying to install my web service onto my PC doesn't give me a working Web Service. i.e. when I try to navigate to the web service I get the "Cannot find server" page. The implication is that I'm missing something (Primary Output?) from my msi ? or have I failed to configure something in the IIS correctly?
Apologies if I'm being a bit thick but my boss thinks just cause I've got 10 years experience coding C++ on Unix that I should know how to do this too!
Thanks in advance
Steve.

Hello To Every One,
How to show a given text value in combo box if it is in collection of combo box..
Thank You..
|
|
|
|
|
Hi,
If this value is in text section of that combo then use following to find that item and set returned items Selected property to true.
List item = <yourcombo>.Items.FindByText("yourtext");
if (item != null)
item.Selected = true;
If that is in its value section then use following
List item = <yourcombo>.Items.FindByValue("yourvalue");
if (item != null)
item.Selected = true;
Hope this solves your issue.

please give me the solution
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.
Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".
Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

Just do what it says - modify your web.confog file as instructed and then you will see a detailed error message which should point you in the right direction.
Don't forget to change it back again afterwards!

Hi,
I am having a big problem with the interface and getting quite irritated about it.
This is what I encountered:
I have a table and I inserted two list box into one column which sits side by side of each other like this.
[ListBox1] [ListBox2]
Unfortunately when I open it in the web browser, the listboxes were in stack form like this.
[Listbox1]
[Listbox2]
And when I try to adjust the size of the table column width, it just would not move/change.
Did I miss out some settings or it's just how ASP.net works? Btw, I view it in IE7.

Hi,
Why dont u put them in differennt column?
and if u insist them to be diplayed to in single cell then u can further create a table with two columns inside the cell and put listboxex in those columns.
I hope this will help you.
Thanks and Regards,

Hi Chetan,
Thanks, it works quite well for the mean time =)

Well, the simple answer is not to use tables for layout, in case you hadn't heard there a bit antiquated - check out CSS (although I won't lie about its learning curve). However, select elements aren't block level elements so I don't see why they would force a new line. There is obviously something else going on that you're not aware of, have a look at the generated markup to see whats there, and if the width you set for the column is getting set correctly.

|
|
|
|
Use vertical align in the columns of the table cells.
It solved many a problems for me.
Hope it does for you too.

CSS...alright, shall consider that in my future development since I'd already doen most of my work here, hehe.
Vertical align...shall try that too

You might be able to solve this problem via CSS. Try creating a custom CSS class for the list views, with the property { display: inline }.
