Sir,
I am very new to Biztalk server development env. I have created a flatfile schema. When I say Validate Schema its giving all the records in the flatfile and they are correct. But when I say genenrate instance it is showing only dummy record, that too only one.
What I want to do is I have a flat file and that flat file data I want to process in some functoids in Biztalk maps. But its not giving what result I want pls. help me. Thank you.

Aleem.

Stop cross posting and someone may answer you. This has nothing to do with ASP.NET

in my button click event i am filling the datas from my stored procedure to datagrid...,
But i am getting error like...,
Incorrect syntax near ','
And its showing error place at
mysqldataadapter.fill(mydataset,"st") place...,
This is my code...,
mySqlDataAdapter = New SqlDataAdapter("Magview" & Val(ddEmpid.SelectedItem.Value) & "," & Val(ddlMonth.SelectedItem.Value) & "," & Val(ddlYears.SelectedItem.Value) & "", sqlconn)
myDataSet = New DataSet
mySqlDataAdapter.Fill(myDataSet, "st")
DataGrid1.DataSource = myDataSet
DataGrid1.DataBind()
mySqlDataAdapter.Dispose()
myDataSet.Dispose()
sqlconn.Close()
And this is my stored procedure:
CREATE PROCEDURE MagView
(
@EId as int,
@months as tinyint,
@years as smallint
)
As
begin
select hra as hra1,'hra' AS magc
from tblmonthsalary
where hra <> 0 and Eid=@Eid and Smonth=@months and SYear=@Years
UNION
select ca as hra1, 'Ca' AS magc
from tblmonthsalary
where ca <> 0 and Eid=@Eid and Smonth=@months and SYear=@Years
UNION
select ota as hra1, 'ota' AS magc
from tblmonthsalary
where ota <> 0 and Eid=@Eid and Smonth=@months and SYear=@Years
UNION
select sha as hra1, 'sha' AS magc
from tblmonthsalary
where sha <> 0 and Eid=@Eid and Smonth=@months and SYear=@Years
union
select al as hra1,'al' AS magc
from tblmonthsalary
where al <> 0 and Eid=@Eid and Smonth=@months and SYear=@Years
UNION
select alp as hra1, 'alp' AS magc
from tblmonthsalary
where alp <> 0 and Eid=@Eid and Smonth=@months and SYear=@Years
end
GO
Plz solve my probs...,

The Fill method doesn't have any over loads that match what you are trying to do. Why are you putting , "st" after the myDataSet? It should probably be just myDataSet) nothing else.
Ben

|
|
|

If i remove "st" aslo its giving same error...,
See i have attached my stored procedure too in my pre msg...,
Hlp me...,

Well, looking at your code:
("Magview" & Val(ddEmpid.SelectedItem.Value) & "," & Val(ddlMonth.SelectedItem.Value) & "," & Val(ddlYears.SelectedItem.Value) & "",
Would probably translate to:
MagviewValuefromDropdown,MonthSelected,YearSelected
So I am guessing you need a space after Magview
So your code probably should be:
("Magview " & Val(ddEmpid.SelectedItem.Value) & "," & Val(ddlMonth.SelectedItem.Value) & "," & Val(ddlYears.SelectedItem.Value) & "",
Ben

Hey yar how i forget to give the space on there...,
Ya want to give space on ther...,
Anyway thanks to spend ur time with me...,

The additional parameters when filling the dataset are optional, the second paramater is for the table name. It could be the identical name of the table your pulling from, or just an alias so you can reference it later (assuming you have more than one in your dataset).
This is likely where the error is comming from:
mySqlDataAdapter = New SqlDataAdapter("Magview" & Val(ddEmpid.SelectedItem.Value) & "," & Val(ddlMonth.SelectedItem.Value) & "," & Val(ddlYears.SelectedItem.Value) & "", sqlconn)
The data adapter has two optional parameters you can use when you create the NEW instance of it.
Commandtext(string) and an sql connection object.
Your parameters broken down look like this:
("Magview" & Val(ddEmpid.SelectedItem.Value)
& ","
& Val(ddlMonth.SelectedItem.Value) &
"," &
Val(ddlYears.SelectedItem.Value) & "",
sqlconn
The first one is what throws me off a bit, you have a fixed string and concatenating that with what should be a numeric value. (kind of sloppy code )) If it is a string, then you need to wrap it with single quotes. The last piece of your string appends a double quote, not sure why, but it doesnt match anything else.
If these are parameters that you are trying to feed a SPROC, then this too is still wrong.
Can you explain what it is your trying to do?

Thanks for posting your sql code, I have no idea if you have a question on this. You also posted it to the asp.net forum I think this may belong to the sql forum.

It might be addressed to a particular person (his friend) or somebody. Some peole use such cheap tricks to exchange code snippets through discussion forums since thier corporate networks might be preventing Webmails on thier desktops.
At least, they could have used 'Email' option instead of openly posting the SQL code.

When I checked the sql forum and saw it posted four or five times there, I got the picture. Kind of silly if you ask me.

Not sure what your question is here. In your web project add a new item it is called web user control. Inside that control do your lookup design. Then when you want to include it into a web page you need two lines of code:
First you register the user control, so at the top of the page right below the <@ Page directive you need something similar to this:
<%@ Register TagPrefix="uc1" TagName="LookupControl" Src="~/Controls/LookupDesign.ascx" %>
Then in your code you need to add this:
<uc1:LookupControl ID="_lookupControl" runat="server" />
Don't know if that answered your question or not.

i have form which displays data in grid based on query passed and condition selected.
now i want to call that page
in any page when i click on button
so what is the best method?
so i thought ascx is best method
i used
<cc1:hovermenuextender id="HoverMenuExtender1" runat="server" popupcontrolid="pnl1" popupposition="Bottom" targetcontrolid="Button1">
<asp:panel id="pnl1" runat="server">
<myc:cal id="abc" runat="server">
lookup page goes off when i place currsor out side the pan and even when i click on any option in the lookup panel like dropdown list

If you have multiple places where you want to have the same control, yes it is a good idea to use a user control. That would be a good solution.

From the solution explorer, navigate to the folder and right click 'Add New Web User Control'.

Your web designer should be able to advise this on. Or if you are a web designer yourself, try using Dreamweaver or Frontpage.

I guess the reason google didn't help is that I don't believe .NET has support for macros. macros in C++ are a preprocessor definition, ie a hack, inherited from C.

Macros are only one of the extensibility tools provided by Visual Studio .NET, but they are easy to develop quickly, and they have surprising clout. Unlike most other Microsoft products, Visual Studio .NET macros are built out of full .NET code, which means they can use any part of the .NET class library. This allows macros to write XML files, display forms, and even contact remote Web services as part of their work. (For information about other types of Visual Studio .NET extensibility, and help choosing which one suits a particular problem.

In Page_Load do this:
