Please don't post your email address. No-one will answer it, and you will get spam.
I can't work out what you want. You want to play the music ? How can you 'show' it ? What form do they take, are they video clips, mp3s, or what ?

How do I track unique visitors to my site so I can display a visitor counter? Sounds cheesy I know but I think it would be cool. (Oh yeah, C# is the language of choice.)

The unique part is the issue. Because people won't have the same IP address every time they visit, unique visitors are probably not possible. In any case, a hit counter will give you a bigger number, which is surely better, marketing wise ?

Any leads on writing something simple? So I can't totally unique visitors. No worries. Any idea how I get at the data so I can store it, display it and decide on my own if it's unique or not?

I was going to offer to write something, but looks like you found a free service to do it for you

Accurate website stats, certaionly as far as unique visitors are concerned, is a myth. You're best off signing up with someone like http://www.statcounter.com/[^] - their basic service (which is good!) is free.

Hi Friends
Can anyone tell me Why we go with HTML table instead of ASP Table control ?
Is there any performance degradation by using asp table control ?
Thanks and Regards

I thing they two are used for different purpose, can't compare.
I use HTML table mostly to position my other asp.net controls in the page.
ASP.NET table is used to bind data from a datasource

As far as I know, you cannot access HTML table in your code behind because it is not an asp control.
What you can do is put all your controls inside HTML table, then place this HTML table inside a Panel, then hide the panel when u need to. Something like that.

Yes you are right i don't want to access the table at the server side i can write javascript to show hide rows using Div tag but what the thing which is really bothering me is use of ASP html control instead of simple html table will this make difference in performance
i think it make some sence
Thanks and Regards

I just installed IIS 5.0 and want to use the aspnet_regiis.exe command utility to register ASP.Net file mappings with IIS.
According to the asp.net book I have, the directory of the utility is:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\Framework\[Version]\aspnet_regiis.exe -i
However, when I checked the directory, there is no Framework folder inside the Microsoft.NET folder.
How do I access this utility?

You need to install Microsoft .NET Framework SDK also. Since you have installed IIS before and then going to install SDK, the setup would implicitly configure ASP.NET for you.

I have installed the .Net framework before installing IIS.
Is there a way to use this utility?

Yes. Open a command prompt, go to:
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\[Version]\
and run aspnet_regiis.exe

Framework SDK is not necessary. There is a difference between the .NET Framework and the .NET Framework SDK.
only two letters away from being an asset

It's under c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework.

I have checked but there is no "Framework" folder inside the Microsoft.Net folder.
Its strange as i have no problems using VStudio 2005.

here is the code i used to create an image as a hyperlink in a gridview:-
<asp:TemplateField>
<code> <ItemTemplate>
<asp:HyperLink ID="_rightArrow" ImageUrl="~/images/LightRightArrow.gif" runat="server" ToolTip="Click to open item" NavigateUrl="~/SelectedOwnSites.aspx" />
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:TemplateField></code>
I also used :-
<code><asp:ImageField DataImageUrlField="ImageSkinId"></asp:ImageField></code>
The ImageSkinId is the field that was mapping during the databind()
