Visual Studio includes a setup project type - Add that to your solution.

Well since it appears that Google is down where he lives I at least took the time (for some odd reason) and did a Google Search[^] for him.
magedhv,
Hopefully Google will be up and running in your area again soon.

Hi
Is can you not add a reference to ppt object then open it up from there (it is a COM object):
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa220907(office.11).aspx
to create the application. Then use this resource to get the desired effects:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa213568(office.11).aspx
This provides a complete overview of the power point object model so you can use its functionality to get what you want.
I am sure there will be an activex control but I have only ever done it this way so can only offer this help.
Hope it is of use

If you're not willing to do it the way that has been suggested, then I'd recommend black magic, it's as likely to work as anything else, once you've excluded the right way of doing things.

Hi,
I am using an SQLDataadapter in my app, with a query. Something along the lines of:
SELECT * FROM MyTable WHERE MyTable.MyField IN ('ABC', 'DEF', 'GHI')
The number of items in the IN bit is variable as well as their respective values.
Usually with a parameterized query I would use @MyParameter in the query and then
SDA_MyAdapter.SelectCommand.Parameters("@MyParameter").Value = "ABC"
This doesn't work however when I try:
SDA_MyAdapter.SelectCommand.Parameters("@MyParameter").Value = "ABC, DEF, GHI"
Can I use this principle at all in this case, and if yes, then how?
If not, then how else can I do it using good VB.NET practices?
All help and suggestions appreciated,
Johan

Not sure, but is the problem occurring in any other test cases, such as ones without the , being used...

Hi Paul,
I have tried the following variants:
- "ABC,DEF,GHI"
- "ABC, DEF, GHI"
- "'ABC','DEF','GHI'"
- "'ABC', 'DEF', 'GHI'"
In all cases the hard coded query will return results but not the parameterized one.
How would you propose to do it without commas?
Best Regards,
Johan

Hi,
I have coded a small desktop based windows app which parses a flat text file and generate a word document with some values from the said file. The code contains lots of loops and huge string manipulation and its 438 lines of code. The problem is when I checked task manager, its eating memory worth 20MB !!
So, any ideas, suggestions, checklists in this situation how to decrese occupied memory by the program from string manipulation perspective?

And.... If it was eating 20Gb I'd be worried, but 20Mb is nothing. Also, remember that what you seen in the task manager is the amount of memory the application has reserved from the OS. Not what is actually used.

intensive programs use 150 +, you've got nothing to worry about, if it was that i'de be worried, but 20 is ok. Task manager also isn't always accurate, as was said, it is what is eserved and often a little extra as a buffer.

Make sure you use stringbuilder instead of string where-ever it makes sense ( like when you're building a big string out of lots of little ones ). But, as the others said, 20 MB is not a whole lot.

Hi,
I have a control, which contains a flow panel, with textboxes being added dynamically at runtime.
The flow panel docking is set to fill the control, and its flow direction is set to TopDown.
I want the control to be scrollable, incase there are more textboxes added at runtime than fit the original size.
So I enable Autoscroll for the FlowPanel.
However, I get both updown and leftright scrollbars.
I simply just want the updown scrolling.
Anyone know how I can force this, or find a way around it?
Any response gratefully appreciated

If the contents of the panel fit within the width of the panel then the horizontal scrollbar shouldn't appear. I just tested this out of curiosity.
Are you sure the contents aren't being clipped horizontally? Perhaps an overhanging label?
Otherwise you could expand the panel until all contents fit.
I'm largely language agnostic
After a while they all bug me

my application should copy specfic row at click event
and i used find method to search rows
my code as follows:
for each dr as datarow in sourcetable.rows
dr=sourcetable.rows.find(textbox1.text)
r=destinationtable.newrow
r("column1")=dr("column1")
r("column2")=dr("column2")
r("column3")=dr("column3")
destinationtable.rows.add(r)
next
but when the code executed the destinationtable rows exceeds according to the source table rows count .
all i need is to copy the displayed row (one row at time)
many regards

The reason for this behavior is quite simple. In your code you loop through all the lines in the source table, and you always add a new line.
dr=sourcetable.rows.find(textbox1.text) seems a bit strange to me. dr already represents a row from sourcetable (because of the loop), but you try to assign it a value from that same table.
If the line dr=sourcetable.rows.find(textbox1.text) even works at all you need to forget about the loop. Otherwise try something like:
For Each dr as DataRow in sourcetable.Rows<br />
If dr.Item("Name_of_the_column_you_are_searching") = textbox1.Text Then<br />
'create the new row according to you code<br />
'so a new row only gets created when<br />
'textbox1.Text is found in the sourcetable<br />
next
Hope this helps,
Johan

i want to grid control for a form for backend of xml can i able to do ?
pls explain if yes means how ?

Why would you want to use msflexgrid ? .NET is full of grids, which can take XML as a data source.
