I guess, it should be an isolated problem in that particular system alone. Did you try clearing the cache in FireFox and trying again?

Many times.
The problem exists (now) from 2 different systems.
Anyways thanks, it must be CSS problems.

I have a form with some check boxes and a fileupload control. The check boxes post back to the server when clicked. My problem is, if you select your upload location and then click one of the check boxes, once the page has refreshed the uploads location has gone.
How can i keep the location when posting back to the server?
Try setting the checkbox to NOT postback.

I don't think you can prepopulate FILEUPLOAD Control value. That is not supported by the browsers for security reasons. Otherwise, imaging a hacker trying to send your files from "C:/Documents and Settings/ceejeeb/Desktop/BankAccountPins.xls " by prepopulating it and then calling 'document.forms[0].submit() '

I have a webpage that has a form on it. Once the form is submitted the code is ran in a delegate whilst the browser is directed to a loading page. Once the delegate has completed the browser is directed to a completeion screen.
My problem is, the method that the delegate calls is static and i cannot access the session variables like normally: text = Session["var1"];
How can i access these variables?
Why don't you pass them to the method?
Because i need to write to them in the static method and use them in a different page.
Even then you can pass them to the method... but...
have you included the namespace where you should find the sessions object?
can you explain how i would do this then. Of what type are the sessions?
I figured it out.
Instead of passing the variables I had to pass the session. So i had to create a HttpSessionState and store Session into it. I then pass this HttpSessionState to my method. Now i can write to the variables and they can be accessed outside the method on a different page.

You don't need to pass the session
you can access it using:
System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Session["var"];

Hey guys,
I write a custom object (IXmlSerializable) and write custom methods (ReadXml() and WriteXml()) for serialization. When I instanciate the object and serialize it to and xml file on my harddrive, everything works fine (good for me :->) and when deserializing from that file, I've got my object instance back, which is exactly what you'd want.
Now the object's purpose is being sent to- and from a webservice, and thus started developing a webservice. Now everything went fine, but when I try to consume the webservice, it says the returned object is a System.Data.DataSet type
The webservice and the client app both have a reference to the same dll containing the object. If I invoke the webmethod while debugging, I see the exact XML I want (which is the same as the xml when serialized to a file)
Am I forgetting something.. Is sending custom objects through a webservice forbidden or something??
Thanks for helping

Hi there guys.
I have a page designed in HTML(Dreamweaver) and another in VB.NET(aspx).I have a link from the aspx page to the HTML page.I included the HTML solution into the aspx folder jus so the solution can see it.The problem is, when I run and click on the link.I get this message:
The HTTP verb POST used to access path '/Final Airliquide TelephoneList/Home Page/HomePage.htm' is not allowed.
I have tried to look at my C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\WUDF but my WUDF is empty so I cant change anything in there.I tried looking for my Global.aspx but cant find it.What could be the problem??
Thanx in advance guys

I don't HTML pages have any serverside filters to process inputs from the server. And when you POST input from browser to server, the normal HTTP mechanism is that the page specified in FORM action recieves the input and does some processing. There is a related discussion thread on this problem here: http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/30269451/http-verb-post-used-not-a.aspx[^]

What do you want to change in the log? Also, log files are periodically updated. When you do a IISRESET, you can force flushing of entries and see the log file updated.
