If you need help that is immediate, I suggest finding someone you can pay for it. I've been working.

Sending email with .NET is really easy, there's tons of examples on the web. I forget the exact code, but google will tell you in seconds.

As Christian said, sending email with dot net is a matter of creating some objects. Plain and simple. The only thing to watch out is whether your smtp server requires authentication, which in that case you need to set the authentication parameters (still very easy).
Try googling on this matter to find examples. If you dont manage let me know but if you try I m sure you will find tons of examples
Thanks,

How to do that?
Thanks

just set the visible property of your HyperLink to something like this:
visible='<%# !(Eval("DataFieldEval") is DBNull) %>'

check for the column content and disable using the below code
<itemtemplate>
<asp:hyperlink id="HyperLink1" text="View" target="_self" runat="Server" visible="<%# Not(Eval("AttachmentID") is DBNull.Value) %>"
="" navigateurl="<%# "Javascript:var PopUpWin = window.open(""PopUp.aspx?attID=" & Eval("AttachmentID") & """, ""x"",""width=350, height=300, menubar=No"")" %> ">

I encountered problem when trying to work with the Java
Plug-in. I compile my applet with J#, then add the component in my C# project. When I try to get the value of Java Vendor, I got Microsoft Corp, when I try to run the applet in purely HTML page, I got Sun Microsystems. I suppose it should use the Java plug-in to show
applets, but i think uses Microsoft JVM instead.
I have tried to solve this by setting a environment variable "JAVA_PLUGIN_WEBCONTROL_ENABLE" with value "TRUE", but still I got Microsoft Corp..
Please help...Thanks

This is probably a dumb question but is ASP.Net a Server side script or a client side script? I ask this because I'm doing Coop with a particular department in the Government (Canada) and they use ASP.Net in their websites and I was given a book to learn about it. I'm about 5 chapters in and the above question still lingers.

ASP.NET is a framework that runs on the server side. The book probably assumes that you know that html, css and javascript is all you want to be sending to the client.

Oh I hate Javascript, I'd do a basic "Hello World" with document.write and I'd get 5 errors that made no sense but Thanks.

The point of ASP.NET is that it is a factory that generates HTML and javascript. So, quite often you can do some cool stuff without writing your own script. Of course, sometimes you need to, and you can inject it into your pages in this instance.

Hello everyone,
I developed a web site with asp.net 2005 (c#). I put in app_code three directories that conatin my classes:
BIZ: contains bizuness classes
DAL: data access layer
MODEL: contains models of my database's table
When I run the project locally on my computer everything is allright. But I published the site, I get this error:
CS0246: The type or namespace name 'BIZ' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
This error is in a function like follow:
<br />
private void DisplayBlogLaUne(){<br />
BIZ.Blog o;<br />
o = new BIZ.Blog();<br />
Model.InfoBlog info;<br />
...<br />
}<br />
This site bugs on
BIZ.Blog o;
Could anyone tell me what's the problem?

hello Christian,
I don't have any DLL in my website. I don't need any and I don't use any!
The BIZ.Blog is falling and BIZ is the directory who is the namespace of Blog class.
thanks.

Hi All,
I have a returned dataset with 4 different tables in the dataset. I need to add 1 new column in one of the table in the dataset. And I sort that table. Then I need to bind the whole dataset with a data repeater.
Could someone help me how to accomplish this?
Thanks so much

Hi ,
I am trying to bind data to a grid view from an enumerator.
Followings is the piece of code.
I get a resulting girdview which shows data vertically instead of horizontally.
Please help me
override public void PopulateTestCases(string searchString)
{
ArrayList arrScripts = new ArrayList();
//ddlTestCases.Items.Clear();
bool connect = td.Connect("http://aa-bb.us.xxxxx.com/qcbin/", "hello", "SystemTestMaster", "oops", "abcdef");
if(!connect) throw new Exception("Quality Center Connection failed");
arrScripts = td.GetBaseTestScripts(searchString.Trim());
System.Collections.IEnumerator myEnumerator = arrScripts.GetEnumerator();
// GridView_TestCase.DataSource = arrScripts;
while (myEnumerator.MoveNext())
{
GridView_TestCase.DataSource = myEnumerator.Current.ToString();
GridView_TestCase.DataBind();
//ddlTestCases.Items.Add(myEnumerator.Current.ToString());
}
td.DisConnect();
//if(ddlTestCases.Items.Count < 1) throw new Exception("No TestScripts were found with the given Search String.");
}
Thank You ,
With Warm Regards,

I am working on a project developing an ASP.NET (1.1) web application. However, I am not using the Visual Studio.NET front-end design application. I'm simply using notepad to create .ASPX, .VB, and other related documents. When I want to write a pre-compiled visual basic class, I use the command-line vbc.exe compiler, and place the output DLL in the /bin/ folder.
Up to this point, this has worked fine for me.
Now, I am trying to use a third-party COM module with the site (simplechart.net). I have installed the module on the server. Now, in the instructions that come with the simplechart.net module, I am told:
"In the Solution Explorer, Right-click on References and select Add Reference. Select the COM tab in the resulting Add Reference dialog. Scroll down to the SimpleChart Toolkit 2.1, highlight it and click Select."
But.... I don't use the Visual Studio.NET front end.
So my question is this: What is it that this "Add Reference" process really DOES, in the background? Can I do the same thing manually, without going in to Visual Studio.NET?
---Greg
p.s. please don't reply with "Why would you want to do that?" and go on to extoll the virtues of using the Visual Studio.NET application. I am first interested in whether or not it is possible (whether or not you think it's advisable) to do without.

Add Reference tells the compiler what DLLs to include when building; as well as this - it also tells Visual Studio .NET how to handle things as far as Intellisense is concerned (not that this bit concerns you). Anyway - you can achieve what you need by using /reference:mydll.dll in the cs.exe command line you are going to use.

First of all, thank you for your reply, it was very helpful!
One follow-up question, though: What if I want to make use of the Class (that is defined in the DLL) in a code-behind page? Since I'm not compiling the code in the code-behind page, I wouldn't be using cs.exe and wouldn't have an opportunity to use /reference, correct?
Or am I misunderstanding how/when to use the /reference option?
Thanks again for your help!
----Greg

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you, but the answer is that you wouldn't need to use the /reference here. This is only to add a reference to an external assembly.
