Hi there can anyone help me
My question is that
how can i make dsn in c#?
|
|
|
|
|
What do you mean with "dsn"?
Defense Switched Network?
Database Source Name?
Delivery Status Notification?
Any other meaning from here[^]?
You see, how can you expect us to help if you don't even care enough to say what you want in more detail?
This kind of questions will lead to answers like this[^]

Thanks Ravi. Your sequel article has helped clear up a lot for me. It is one of the best articles I have found on the subject.
I am still having problems retrieving the object from the clipboard. I am reading a chemdraw structure that is stored in a Oracle database as a clob format. I read the clob then I store it in the clipboard as the format "ChemDraw InterchangeFormat". I need to retrieve the structure as a jpeg or bit map to display in my picture field of the windows application. It does not seem to "convert" to a bitmap when retreiving from the clipboard. The GetDataPresent for ChemDraw InterchangeFormat comes back as true, but when I try dataformats.bitmap, it comes back as false. So it goes into the clipboard as one format (chemdraw) and I need it to be reteive in another format (picture, image ...)
What am I doing wrong.
Thanks for your help,
Kim
ido.SetData("ChemDraw InterchangeFormat",true,clob);
Clipboard.SetDataObject(ido, true);
ido = Clipboard.GetDataObject();
if (ido.GetDataPresent("ChemDraw InterchangeFormat", true))
{
// Image data is present on the clipboard
pictureBox1.Image = (Image)ido.GetData(DataFormats.Bitmap);
}
|
|
|
|
|
I'm guessing you need to retrieve the data in the ChemDraw Interchange format and do the conversion to an image after retrieval.

I want to open the user desktop,
Currently i use explore.exe + an argument to with the link to the desktop but this does not display this computer and garbage bin.
How do you do this properly?
|
|
|
|
|
The "this computer" and "garbage bin" icons are not in the desktop folder. By default they are displayed on the screen along with the contents of the desktop folder, but this is a user setting that can be changed.
Experience is the sum of all the mistakes you have done.

I've been playing around with Dock Panel Suite - and very good it is too. However, I've tried to comprehend the documentation and singularly failed in the following respect...
Lets say I want to prevent documents from being docked in the left, right or bottom panes (ala Visual Studio 2005), how do I do this?
Me: Can you see the "up" arrow?
User:Errr...ummm....no.
Me: Can you see an arrow that points upwards?
User: Oh yes, I see it now!

God - it was easy afterall:
this.DockAreas = ((WeifenLuo.WinFormsUI.Docking.DockAreas)(((((WeifenLuo.WinFormsUI.Docking.DockAreas.Float | WeifenLuo.WinFormsUI.Docking.DockAreas.DockLeft)
| WeifenLuo.WinFormsUI.Docking.DockAreas.DockRight)
| WeifenLuo.WinFormsUI.Docking.DockAreas.DockTop)
| WeifenLuo.WinFormsUI.Docking.DockAreas.DockBottom)));
Me: Can you see the "up" arrow?
User:Errr...ummm....no.
Me: Can you see an arrow that points upwards?
User: Oh yes, I see it now!

Hello,
As there is no PropertyGrid control in the WPF, how come that nobody - here, or at CodePlex - has written one yet?
FTTB, I added a Windows Forms host to my WPF project - it works fine, but there is a significant impact on performance when compared to native WPF controls. Do I have to write one by myself, or not necessarily?

WPF is missing tons of basic stuff. THe print dialog was written by utter morons, it sets it's parent to the main form, so if you have a form over the top, you can't interact with the dialog.

In Windows XP you can set custom sounds for applications to use. How can the user select sounds for my application in that applet?
|
|
|
|
|
It's done by setting certain registry entries.
Take a look at HKCU\AppEvents\Schemes, I think you can easily figure out the required entries to add your application.

C#/.Net/VS2005 - How can I write text onto the form of a webpage through the use of a windows form that I can write?
My idea is that I would like the text I write into my windows form to paste itself into the form of a browser window.
But I was thinking that this form could really shortcut a lot of the unnecessary actions of opening a browser and going to that particular page that has the form.
I am thinking that if I already know the address of that particular web page, that I could have the text on my form submitted directly to that forms server via a submit button on my form. My little form would save me the trouble of opening a browser to post to certain web page.
I am thinking that the web page would have a form id and that that would help to find the form for pasting this text into, err maybe I should say for using during the submittal so that the server knows where the text came from or where the text is suppose to be in the form for saving purposes.
Any explanation on how this can be done or ideas, links, would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
