It is a long story, the thing is that i study telecommunications engineering, which is a combination of Programming and Electronics engineerings. I am good at electronics and PC hardware plus network stuff but when it comes down to programming i know nothing but what i have learnt recently in Visual C#, i used to use ANSI C but for console applications only... php for websites and databases data flow control... and there it goes my programming life. In my college/University, I am not from the states and i don't live in the states so it is hard for me to tell which one I am studying in, we need to do a big final project to show them what we have learnt through the years.

Thanks to this website examples, some online books, people like you and hard work i have been able to learn faster than i thought and really good... however i am feeling the pressure and the fatigue so i am not quite sure of what should i do with the fingerprint reader because there a new stuff showing up...

If needed i can show you the example of the SDK from grFinger to see what i should do or how i should do it....

No, that's an event. A delegate is a single method reference.

Two posts in a row that say 'I need this for my job'.

We don't mind helping people do their jobs, not at all. But, for you to be saying you are *totally* lost, probably means that you should not be doing this job. On what basis can it be assumed that having been given some code, you will use it in a reasonable way, to create an application that is a worthwhile solution for the person who is paying you for this work ?

If you can't work out how to add a browser control to your application, then you really should not be working as a programmer. If you can't work out how to interact with the control by googling for help, then you have serious problems. If you do these things and get stuck, that's the right time to be posting questions here.

How did you get hired if you don't know how to do the stuff that your job requires, and you don't know how to do basic research ?

Hi,

I guess you did not understand what I was trying to say, when I said am completlly lost I meant to say with the topic of resizing okay. So next time when you say something, first try to find out what other people trying to say and don't behave like little idiot. Anyway for your kind of information am fresh graduate from school and doing good at my work place. I also must tell you no school teaches you things you encounter on work place. At last I only asked for some code or hints so could pull the job. Someone already has given me a hint and already did it. I am sure you are very smart guy and been in industry for long time ,but I hate to sya you kind of guy who like to pick on your juniors and try to feel good by humiliating others. I want to make above controls resizable at runtime.
User should be able to resize the controls by dragging their borders.

As a c# beginner, so difficult.
One thing to know, a way to translate decimal numbers to Z-values.
ex) x = 100, y = 99;
decimal number 100 = binary number 1100100
decimal number 99 = binary number 1100011
Z-value is xyxyxyxy..... , so 11110000100101.

I heard that it is easy to solve this problem using bitwise operations.
I don't know that.
Give me a hand... Confused | :confused:

Hi,

the way I often do it is by creating a normal image, then programmatically converting
it to a simple icon:

    Bitmap bm=new Bitmap(filename);

    icon.Save(stream);
}

Warning: this does not take care of transparency; I guess other image formats such as
PNG are needed if transparency is relevant.

The six lines of code I gave you, when executed, read an image file and create the corresponding icon file.
There are no mysteries involved, the trick is Image.Save knows how to create a simple icon file.
