I would not suggest doing that. People will stop visiting your site if you do that without asking.

For IE5+, you can use the home-page behaviour:

When I now have figure out how to install IIS it wont let me "Start" the webserver!!

What configurations or other stuff is required? I have WIn2k and want to run IIS on localhost!! HOW!!

You need to put a "Default.htm" file in your wwwroot folder. Once you do that, just type in 127.0.0.0 or http://localhost in IE, and you're all set.

Yes but I have to get the webserver to run before that! Smile | :)

When I press that "play" button to start the webserver it allways doing a timeout and don't start! Frown | :(

I've tried to fill in the localhost ip (127.0.0.0) in the IP addres field but it doing a timeout and it doesn't start!! Frown | :(

open a cmd prompt and type "net start w3svc" and find out what it says. (it will tell you if it started or not)

The localhost ip is 127.0.0.1 not 127.0.0.0.

Hello

I am new to scripting but I need to know if there is anyway to

1) Get a list of processes running in Windows 2000
2) Send a notification to mail/pager if the process goes down?

If anyone can give some sample code, that would be very helpful.

I can use the psapi.dll.
Here you can find a article with that function. But if you want you can build a atl dll for get the list of process using that api... (I did that) Wink | ;)

I am new to VBScript and i have a problem in getting the application path to set the database path(like app.path)

Here instead of giving the whole path how can i get the path??? Confused | :confused:

Server.MapPath(RelativePath) will give the absolute physical path of a relative path (relative to the current ASP page)
