Hi Friends,
I am in middle of a Vb.Net project working in VS2003.
I need to migrate it to VS2008 version.
The problem is that i didnt have the XP CD for installing. Please advice will that be a problem for installing VS2008.
Also what might be the Pre-requirements for installing VS2008?
Thanks,
Ramki

Did you try it to find out ? If you don't have the XP CD, odds are you do not own XP. But, all the prerequirements, come on the VS2008 CD/DVD

1 - don't cross post
2 - read the forum guide, it seems you need help with how to formulate a question
3 - I answered you 20 hours ago. If you are not smart enough to use google, or to buy a book, or to respond on a thread where people are trying to help you, then you should probably just give up now.

I am almost at the end of a VB project but am completely stuck on one part.I would like to solve it as I can use it in several other programs.
I am not talking about mail merging. I need to combine two documents together. One will be a blank invoice template stored as a PDF the other will be the billing information to print over the top. Together they form a document that can be sent by email.
Can this be done and if so is .NET or VB Classic the best platform to write it.
Can anybody offer any help at all on this?
Best regards
Mark

LOL - I thought it was called VB POS ? VB6 is NEVER the best platform for anything, it just plain sucks.
To merge two documents into one, if one is a PDF, you will need to buy a PDF library, so you can open a PDF, and add to it.

Why not immediately use one document? You could put options in your program to change logo's, fonts etc?

I would recomend using .NET as the print handling has been substantially improved over VB6.
There is an article I wrote for Developers.ie on printing[^] that is a good place to start.

I mean, you've asked several times now how to launch one msi from another ? I looked at your history and I'm pretty sure you're the same person who has been asking.

Posting the same question over and over, will generate the same answers. That's because the universe has not changed since you last posted, and computer science sure has not.
Instead of asking the same question, try taking the answers you had, and considering how you can apply them to your situation.
