According to the CSS2 docs[^], that can be correct:
The :active pseudo-class applies while an element is being activated by the user. For example, between the times the user presses the mouse button and releases it.
You may want to be using the :focus pseudo-class instead of / in addition to :active .

How are you building your website ? If you're using ASP.NET ( and why wouldn't you, when ASP and PHP suck, and J2EE is a nightmare ), then I'd say SQL Server Express Edition is a good place to start. If you're using another platform, then perhaps MySQL is better supported, worth looking into.

Personally I prefer PHP + MySQL. I generally stay away from MS stuff though, so I don't care for ASP/ASP.net.

r = int.Parse(param["TEMPID"].Value.ToString());

Doing that would classify your page as malicious in my opinion. That's a bit of an invasion of privacy.

This is ASP, not ASP.NET ? I'd look for C++ COM objects to do the work for you, seems most likely to succeed to me.

You can send mail using cdont or cdosys depending on server support. for cdont I am adding code
set mymail=server.createobject("cdonts.newmail")
mymail.mailformat=0
mymail.bodyformat=0
mymail.from="info@rpgwebsolutions.com"
mymail.to="poonam@indiabusinesszone.com"
mymail.subject="Here Subject will go.."
mymail.body="Body data will go here. You can add html tags in this data"
mymail.send
set mymail=nothing
for exporting reports to excel use this code in the head section of document:
Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel"
Response.AddHeader "Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=Task_Monitor_Reports.xls"

Or to Sweden where most education, regardless of level, is free. Actually, we get some money to pay for living costs while studying...
