evilnoodle wrote: How do I create a server socket which can accept multiple connection on the same port?
When a socket is 'listening' and someone connects, the .Accept() method of that socket will return a new socket which is 'talking' to whoever called in. Once that has been done, the 'listening' socket can accept another connection. When that connection comes in, .Accept() will return a different socket which can exchange data with the new caller. After a connection is handed off to a new socket with .Accept(), the original listening socket will no longer "care" about it. There are practical limits to how many sockets can be connected at once, but if one creates a new thread for each socket it's pretty easy to handle quite a few.
Note that starting a new thread for each socket isn't strictly necessary, but it's often the easiest way to do things. The biggest 'gotcha' is that the new threads won't be able to interact with the UI directly.

Hello,
I am extracting files from zip file using the following code.
It works wll but the only problem is that the command prompt wwindow is popuping. What is the syntax to hide it?
Const WzunzipExe As String = "C:\Program Files\WinZip\Wzunzip.exe"
Dim WSHShell As Object = CreateObject("Wscript.Shell")
WSHShell.exec(WzunzipExe & " " & ZipFullPath & " " & """" & ExtractToFolder & """")
--Modification-----------------------------------
I found solution using the Shell command, but I still would like to know how to do it with exec if possible
thanks

IIRC, the Exec method has no options to do this. You can't tell it to launch the application with the window hidden.

I guess you meant to ask in the ASP.NET forum ? Only way to do this is to put it on the URL.

it goes in the URL yes. Then you use Request.QueryString["myVar"] to access it.

Pass value of txtSearch.text to another page
Response.Redirect("frmCreateAptForExistingClient.aspx?Parameter=" + txtSearch.Text)
'Receive value from another page and display in txtPhone.Text
Private Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
txtPhone.Text = Request.QueryString("Parameter").ToString()
End Sub

Hi,
I m using third party grid control for displaying the bunch of records which i have placed in one form(previewform). and the link for this form is in another form.
when i click the link the preview from will get opened and in the form load i have written the code for fetching records.
now what i need is when i debug(using Break points) each line in the codei need to see the grid value, design changes how it is aligned .(since there is too many rows i need to scroll through out the grid). how can i do this in run time.
i actually try by using frm.show in the immediate window. i can see the grid but i can't able to scroll the grid. since it is still in running mode

If I corretly understand what you want to do, you can't do what you want to do. You're code isn't actually running when in Immediate mode. It runs through one iteration of the window's message pump, processing the WM_PAINT messages, but that's it. There is no opportunity for it to process SCROLL messages.
You'll have to make the changes, run the app to see them, go back and make more changes, run the app again, ...

I have no idea what you're talking about. Your statements are disconnected and don't make much sense at all.
