Hello,
i have a "small" problem, i get Data from a CSV File (Comma Seperated Value) and this file could contains everything. But i must show it in the DataGrid of Silverlight. So... the DataGrid makes Columns for each of the properties in a class, but here i have no properties and no specific class.
How can i do this? DataGrid doesnt want to show two-dimensional Arrays, and so i made a list of String[] and wanted to show them... hehe very lucky, i get the properties of the array so the columns were "Length, Rank, SyncRoot" and so on
How can i easily show this data, its easily csv and i have no idea how to do that, is there an IEnumerable collection, where i can show two-dimensional data?
Thanks for you help

You can probably use LINQ to create the anonymous type class. or, you can create your own DataSet-like class..

Are dependency properties only available in WPF?
Is there a way to test out a few dependency property implementations in a Console application?
How common is the use of dependency properties?
|
|

Dependency Properties in WPF are its bedrock.
As far as I know there is no way to test them in a console app.
DP's are everywhere in WPF.

Hi EveryOne,
I have a problem in enabling and Disabling the Controls in the WPF:DataGrid,
I am trying to Disable the TextBoxes in the DataGrid when the ComboBox in the same DataGrid gets the SelectedIndex as 0. The TextBoxes of the same row in which the ComboBox's SelectedIndex is 0 should be disabled.
For example, lets say there are 6 columns and 10 rows in a DataGrid,
ComboBox is in Column 3, rest are the TextBox Columns. If I set the ComboBox's SelectedIndex to 0(ZERO) of Row 3, then the TextBoxes in the Column 4 and 5 of the respective row(i.e., Row 3) has to be disabled,
Can Anybody please, help me out with this Issue????
Thank you in Advance.....

Congrats Jammer!
Like the nice clean website design, with a little bit of funk from the logo, menu and angled screenshots.
You might want to make the screenshot on the front page clickable.
And add the download button to your homepage, when your ready to go.

Thanks chap! All noted, good ideas.

Hey Jammer
I just downloaded and installed you app, but it crashes upon launch
The exception is of type TypeLoadException and the message says "Could not load type 'System.Windows.SplashScreen' from assembly 'WindowsBase, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'."
Your .Net Tester is working fine, and I'm using XP Pro SP2 if that helps
I hope you can fix this soon cause the app looks really cool

Hey chap,
Thanks for trying it out!
It sounds like you need to upgrade to .NET 3.5 SP1 as the SplashScreen class is new to SP1.
Have you got SP1 installed already? If you do ... I think the word is FECK!!
Cheers,
Jammer.

Hey jammer
Yeah I haven't upgraded to SP1 yet, ill try it a little later... Maybe you should let your .Net Tester check if SP1 is installed and give a warning of some kind, just a thought.
Anywho, I'll let you know what you think as soon as i get it working
Cheers

Indeed ... I should upgrade the tester to check for this.

Hi,
Can I implement Dock Property in a control without the use of DockPanel. i.e. when the
custom myDock property of a control is given as myDock = "Top", it should go & dock to the top
of its parent.
Thanks in advance,
|
|
|

|
You could use attached dependency property to implement this kind of behavior...Josh Smith has a good article on attached behaviors in WPF.

Can we create a Windows Project using Silver Light (VS 2008)
If Yes then How ?
Which one is better to create Windows Appl (SilverLight or WPF) and why?
Thanks n Regards

Strictly speaking, you can. Silverlight runs in a web browser, which might be running on Windows (or not as the case may be). However, it will not be able to interact with the operating system, and runs inside the limits of the browser sandbox.
If you want an application that works in Windows, and allows you to interact with the operating system then you need WPF.

Hello everyone,
I have following problem: I need to place objects in virtual building. Building has several floors. Each object is defined something like
class MyObject
{
int x,y,z;
string name;
EventHandler event;
..etc...
}
I have a list of MyObjects and I want to present it using 2D and 3D view. Two dimensional presentation is better for placing objects in one floor. Three dimensional presentation should provide overview of all floors. When the user add/removes/changes objects in MyObjects list, both views should be updated. Also when I select object in 2D view, the same object should be highlighted in 3D.
I'm new to WPF and it would be great to have some ideas or concept how to achieve this functionality.
Thanks in advance
