I have already tried that. It is the same as I mentioned since you are returning an assembly. Maybe I am not implementing it right?
Thanks for the help so far.

In order to use something that is external to your app you need some convention. These are the most common ones:
1.
a strict convention: you decide once and for all where things will reside, make sure they get there, and your app goes and looks there.
Such convention might (and often should) be based on the special folders supported by Environment.GetFolderPath
And the convention might include an indirection, as in: a specific registry entry will tell you the exact path to be used.
2.
a listed convention: you provide a mechanism for specifying and searching one or more candidate locations. The Windows PATH environment variable is a typical example.
If you don't apply any convention all that is left is a full search.
Why not install plug-ins in a subfolder of the app's folder, hence for app MyApp, installed in C:\Program Files\MyApp, put the plug-ins in C:\Program Files\MyApp\plugins; so your app should simply scan the relative path "plugins" to find them all.

try Application.StartupPath
you will get ...\debug\bin
i usually place the resources i dont want embeded in that directory, and using application.startup i can run them in any computer
(resources embeded are read only so when i want to add resources that will be edited a place there)
i hope that is what you want

Maybe you need to look at the CodeBase property. IIRC that is the location it loaded from.

Hi. I tried all known solutions and now im turning to you.
I cant get the " in the string. Tried with:
\", @ "", """, Character converting, string converting, ... The only solution i see, is to create a label, which would be hiddent, but would contain text = ". I could borrow its text and use it in the code... but thats not it i'm afraid.
string xc = "Deklica je po " +Convert.ToChar(34)+ " Vodo šla.";
The result i get, by using any of know solutions is the same for anything : Result = \" String returns this.

Hi Matjaz,
The following line of code will insert a double quote in your string value.
string xc = "Deklica je po \" Vodo šla.";
Hope this helps...
|
|
|
|
|
won't work. i get output: Deklica je po \" Vodo šla.
don't know why backslash in text.
Regards,
Matjaž

When you say output, you mean the watch window of the debugger..? The watch window of the debugger always shows the backslash before the double quote as an escape character but it will not display in your actual results. Try this by setting a label or textbox's text to the string value. You will see that there isnt a backslash in the text.
Hope this helps...

Yes, that helps a lot
I was debugging and i was always getting the backslash and just a minute before your answer, i tried the same sentence with a label - and it worked, like you said.
Thanks!

Matjaž

Hi..
I need to draw a dotted Sine wave using GDI+ concept in Visual C#, please let me know which GDI+ Object i need to use..
replay asap

you need to get a Graphics object.
You can either respond to the paint event on the form and use e.Graphics, or you can create your own graphics object by calling CreateGrapics() on the control you want to draw onto.

Then use a 'dotted' Pen. I dont know the exact property to set, but Pen (or Brush) have those options.

You dont try very hard, do you?
What do you think the DashStyle property do?

The problem lies with your knowledge of C#. These things are normally discussed in the first few chapters of any C# book.
You need to do:
Pen p = new Pen(Color.Back);
p.DashStyle = DashStyle.Dot;
