It's not, however I'm not yet clear enough on what you are trying to do to direct you to a more appropriate forum.
You can allow people to download an excel file from your web site and if they have excel installed they can run it. If they are using certain browsers, it may even launch it in the browser but there is no way for you, or your site, to know any of this for anonymous users.
If your users are a qualified group, meaning you know they all have excel, then you can just add the file to your web site and they can type in the address in a browser (you can have a page with a link to the file to simplify this) and download the file.
If you are trying to use some feature of Excel to publish your work as a Web Application, I have no knowledge of that feature and nothing I said above is related to that.

I am just trying to publish for anyones use a calculator that will give several answers after a user (not from anyone group) inputs some info. It might be that this is the wrong application for a web form use. I'm just not sure!

If it is possible, it would be through the use of some feature of Excel or additional technology perhaps provided by Microsoft that I am not aware of. It is not any typical form of Web Development which would involve developing things like HTML or Server side programming mechanism (ASP.NET, Java, Perl, Ruby, etc.) that allows you to deliver HTML to the browser, along with some Javascript to create the dynamic aspects of the application.

Hi all,
I have created windows application in c#, it is Sample.exe,
If this exe is already running, andmeanwhile if double click and initiate one more instance of Sample.exe it should point to already running Sample.exe.
Concept is simple if my windows media player is running say a movie file is being run.
and if I launch media player from shortcut it will still show the already running one instead of opening the separate media player.
Is it possible to do so for my application, how can I apply same logic to my Sample.exe
Thanks,
ashok

What do you mean by "lock"??

the .dll file can't copy the other drives, it's lock the file
how?

Not possible. The .DLL file can be copied when your app isn't running. There's nothing you can do to prevent it from being copied. Why? Because if you prevent the file from being read (that's all a copy operation is), the app won't be able to read it either and execute the code in it.

Hi
I have developed an application with .net framework 2.0 using C#.
Is it possible to run this application on third party machines without the need to install the .net Framework?
Thanks

Thank you, I checked the Xenocode PostBuild and it seems it could fix the problem, but it is way too expensive, isn´t there something cheaper?

Nope. Every one I've seen is $1,000 or more.

What is PostBuild's reputation? Is there something that is considered better?

Hell if I know. I don't use them, nor do I recommend doing so.

First and foremost, Service Packs for the .NET Frameworks. Every one of them has had at least one so far. The service packs cannot be applied to the application once "baked" by one of these utilities.
Second, depending on how much of the framework your app is using, they can generate massive .EXE's for deployment. And, if you have a bunch of these apps built with the .NET Framework baked into each, the collection can suddenly have the same framework multiple times for each .EXE.
I've heard of problems or total non-functionality of Reflection with some them, though I haven't bothered to test these claims either way.

Normally, it's not possible. It is is you buy third party tools, that cost upwards of a couple of thousand dolloars, that compile the required .NET Framework pieces into your app.

Yes, you can run C# applications without the .NET framework installed, but only if you have the MONO framework installed.

Hi,
I'm a winform aplication, and i have a problem with buttons shortcuts, for example i have a button with name &Ok and if a press alt+o or o the button action is fired. The probem is that i just want used the shortcut alt+o and disable the other. I know that i want catch the keypress event but i like to known if exists other way to do that.

AFAIK there's no other option than handle the keypress. However, the shotcut key (O in this case) shouldn't fire the button click unless the focus is on the button. If focus is somewhere else, only Alt+O fires the click.
