I am dealing with word automation in asp.net 2.0 and when i am debugging my web application in VS in XP OS it is quite fine running. Then I deployed this site into server (OS is Windows 2000 advanced server) where I met with problem. So I installed VS 2005 in this server and I debugged where I got this error..
Unable to cast COM object of type 'Word.ApplicationClass' to interface type 'Word._Application'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{00020970-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}' failed due to the following error: Library not registered. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8002801D (TYPE_E_LIBNOTREGISTERED)).
If anyone helps to solve my problem that would be appreciable as I have been struggling with this problem for last week.
I have office 2000 premium in my server machine as well.
I give my coding part also here,
public class WordApp
{
private Word.Application oWordAppl;
private Word.Document oDoc;
public WordApp()
{
oWordAppl = new Word.Application();
}
public Word.Document Open(string strFileName)
{
try
{
object fileName = strFileName;
object readOnly1 = false;
object isVisible = true;
object missing = System.Reflection.Missing.Value;
oDoc = (Word.Document)oWordAppl.Documents.Open(ref fileName, ref missing, ref readOnly1,
ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing,
ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref isVisible);
/*Above line i am gettin error {"Unable to cast COM object of type 'Word.ApplicationClass' to interface type 'Word._Application'.
This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID
'{00020970-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}' failed due to the following error: Library not registered.
(Exception from HRESULT: 0x8002801D (TYPE_E_LIBNOTREGISTERED))."}
*/
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
throw ex;
}
finally
{
//object missing = System.Reflection.Missing.Value;
//oWordAppl.Documents.Close(ref missing, ref missing, ref missing);
}
return oDoc;
}
}

Firing what? Your question is not clear. Please rephrase it.

You can write the JavaScript Code and Get the Value of TextBox
<asp:textbox id="txt" onkeypress="CheckEnter_Onclick(event)" runat="server" xmlns:asp="#unknown">
---- This is Javascript Function that show the Value of Textbox in alert Box when Enter Key is Pressed--------------
function CheckEnter_Onclick(e)
{
var key;
key=(e.which) ? e.which : e.keyCode;
if(key==13)
{
var x= document.getElementById('<%=txt.ClientID %>').value;
alert(x);
}
return true;
}

Have you tried that suggestion? Spoon feeding is bad and we don't do it here. I have given you the class and method you need to work with. Look at the method's documentation and learn how to use it. If you face any issues, come back with specific questions. If you are not understanding the MSDN documentation and sample provided, you need to take a book and improve your knowledge.

As I said, go with WebClient class. It is the easiest one. Use the WebProxy[^] class and set it to WebClient.Proxy property.

Your user is entering the required URL in text box and you need to get the HTML of that page on button click, right? If yes, WebClient or any request/response classes is the way to go. Alternatively, you can use JS and send AJAX request to the page. Get the response and read values from it. InnerHTML may work in this scenario(I haven't tried it). But I'd suggest the webclient rather than JS.

I think the main problem is that you obviously have many missing keys on your keyboard - or you are sending in your posts by txt msg

shabsk wrote: how to redirect pages with the help of link bottons
That's a basic stuff. Just write Response.Redirect("pagename") in the link button's click event handler.
|
|
|
|
|
That's simple. Just use 'Response.Redirct("xxx.aspx", false)'.

Hi,
By using
Response.Redirect("ur URL")
and
server.transfer("ur URL")
