Besides saying that you are screwed (probably are in the long run) you can try this...

1 - Boot to dos

2 - Search for any files that have a 'system" in thier name. You ar elooking fo ranything that coul dbe a backup copy (due to a recent install of something or file edit using a good utility - like systedit - from a recent date). Pay attention to file extensions like '.bak' '.syd - file was backed up by sysedit'.

3 - Copy this file back to system.ini (IE: copy system.syd system.ini)

4 - Try to restart into windows.

This MIGHT work, but I highly recoment that you determine why you lost the file in the first place. This sounds either like someone was messing with you, or you, or you did something carless, or you had a virus. I had seen a virus in the past that places a 'del c:\windows\*.ini' in the autoexec.bat file so each time you boot up your ini files get deleted.
