So either you want to know how to automatically click an OK button, or you want to know why your timer code is not working. Which is it?
If its the first, then when would you expect the button click to happen? when you display the message? If so, whats the point of displaying it as the use will never see it.
If its why your timer code isn't working, without seeing it nobody can tell you - you insist its simple code, which it probably is, but there must be something wrong or it would work. Have you actually started the timer? You state it checks the time on the server, is it simply missing it? i.e. you look for 10:00:00 but your timer fires at 10:00:01 or something similar?
Post your code for any further help.Bob

Hi,
I am using windows media player in .net and have two videos that i need to play at exactly the same time on separate players. These players are WMP and WMP2
These videos are exactly the same time limit. They are both 21.34 seconds long
I think the code went something like
If label1.visble = true then
WMP.url = ............ .wmv ' url of vide
WMP2.url= .......... .WMV
End if
This code does work up to a point and i would have copied and pasted it in, but i am on a different computer.
This works however this is a massive "lag" between one video starting up and the next.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to get both videos starting at the same time on button click?
I didn't know if perhaps the videos could be preloaded so when the user does click the correct button the videos play straight away, and the videos don't take time loading
Many thanks
Dan

Using Media Players? It's not going to happen.
You'd have to play the videos yourself using DirectX DirectShow or some other technology.

You should convert your image to raw format or binary format then you can save it in table. If you can think then I Can.

The out keyword causes arguments to be passed by reference. This is similar to the ref keyword, except that ref requires that the variable be initialized before being passed. To use an out parameter, both the method definition and the calling method must explicitly use the out keyword. For example:

Hello to All,
Actually I want to know that what is the procedure of Auto Generate Mail or SMS Delivery Message.
and
Secondly I want to Know that How Can I redirect my site to another site (While my site generate the error LIKE : Page not found or Site is going down.).
ThanksIf you can think then I Can.

Firstly, you should perhaps ask your question in the ASP.NET forum.
There are plenty of examples on how to send emails with VB.NET on the web, search Google for examples.
I would also search Google for ASP.NET global error handling for your site.
SMS messages would require a suitable sending device or 3rd Party web service accessible to your web server.Steve Jowett

IS AUTO GENERATE MAIL NOT POSSIBLE IN VB.net.
i want to do same like outlook account.If you can think then I Can.
|
|
|
|
|
That depends on what you mean by "autogenerate an email".
Genereate it in what? What application are you putting this capability in?
AND DO NOT SHOUT IN THE FORUMS!
|
|
|
|
|
What do you mean by autogenerate? If you are talking about autoreply, then yes but you have to read the emails and create a reply yourself. If you mean can you create and send emails using vb.net, then again, the answer is yes, there are thousands of examples both here and on Google. Bob

Yes I am taking about autoreply.
I want that if You send me mail then thank you note (auto generated) will send you automatically.If you can think then I Can.
|
|
|
|
|
So you need to read incoming mail, check for the message you want to reply to and generate an email. If you are using Exchange 2007 then you can use the web service provided, but without knowing any more about your system thats all I can suggest. Just make use of google, reading and sending email is a frequently asked question and there is loads of sample code out there. Bob

Can u send me name of service Providers?
ThanksIf you can think then I Can.
|
|
|
|
|
What service providers? I don't understand what you mean. You receive emails to a mail server, read them from there and generate a reply, I don't know where service providers come in to it. Bob

I have a small form that opens a XML file and populates a treeview to represent the data in it. I'd like to be able to drag an XML file, say off the desktop, into the treeview or the form and open the file. I've searched around and have only found examples of dragging nodes or dragging values from other controls on the form, not dragging an external file. Ideally, I'd just want the filename from the file dropped in, so that it functions more or less the same as when I open a file using the open file dialog. I'm using VB, .NET 2.0 and VS2008. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On your TreeView properties, set AllowDrop=True on the TreeView
Add the following code to your Treeview Event handlers;
Private Sub TreeView1_DragDrop(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.DragEventArgs) Handles TreeView1.DragDrop
Dim files As String() = CType(e.Data.GetData(DataFormats.FileDrop), String())
For Each item As String In files
'Modify your existing code to handle a file name passed to it
'Pass the file name to your File Reader Function Here to populate the Treeview
Next
End Sub
Private Sub TreeView1_DragEnter(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.DragEventArgs) Handles TreeView1.DragEnter
If e.Data.GetDataPresent(DataFormats.FileDrop) Then
e.Effect = DragDropEffects.Link
Else
e.Effect = DragDropEffects.None
End If
End Sub
