Hey Chris,

I've been talking to a few people here in college who often visit CP and some of them think it'd be a good idea to have a new members forum [perhaps with a link visible on the homepage] so that they can ask sites about the site and about the forums etc. [Many of them said they were godsmacked at the sheer size of the site and that they were afraid to ask simple questions in the lounge]

Regulars could pop in and answer questions about navagation and where to ask questions and so on... obviously it could be open to the usual abuse... asking programming questions on so on, but at least this way we'll know what to expect and the new member can be pointed in the right direction and hopefully there'll be less non-related topics in the lounge.

Just a thought.

Nope, it isnt. Simple to verfiy - just check the number of females. Any dating site has at least dozen good looking singles that are always available. Not so on CP. Thats proof enough Smile | :)

What is a "Bonus level"?

Now I am wondering, I have posted 5-14 articles, am member since 2 years+, and have posted more than 500 messages.
Why I am Gold? I know this has for sure been explained a hundred times, but I missed it Blush | :O

That's where the "Up to Platinum" part comes in. You don't get bumped up from Gold without writing insane amounts of articles.
