Thanks for the assistance with the article pages. I posted a fix for my CPAM3 article as a result.

I'm still trying to get the time to provide a decent solution for you. My skin crawls thinking about the hoops you go through.

A Web Service would be good.
The hoops ain't that bad (programming is nothing more than a bunch of hoops you have to jump through), but I'm making A LOT of assumptions and not taking as many precautions as I should. If you're bored or just want some amusement, you should look through the ArticleManager object. I use a combination of brute-force string searches and XML-ish node examination.
You have bigger fish to fry than worrying about my stuff. I only whined a little, right?

Those letters you've been receiving (you know which ones, the ones where the text is all cut out from newspapers), they are from John. He's finally cracked; he now spends his time oiling his springs, muttering about needing a web-service, and what purty eyes you've got.

DELIVERANCE!!!!! (and you don't oil springs - SHEESH!)

Hey Chris,
Don't over-plan the web-service, if so it will never materialize. Start with something simple. And keep adding service functionality as and when you get time. With WP7 out now, there are so many CP-utilities that can be written for it. But it's pointless to even attempt that because the apps will break when the HTML is updated. It's kinda frustrating not being able to do that because there's no guaranteed web api.

If you like, we can design the interface for you. Save you some time.

Don't you have some catching up to do? I got over 2000 points on you now.

Not really. I'm only bothered about keeping DD down, his habit of posting nonsense just to up his reputation means he has to be bitch slapped down by you and me.

Don't you start. You live on the same continent as John, and he's armed.

I'm honored you think that I'm only just starting.

I did a full spec proposal here[^], it would take care of all current applications and be extensible for future needs. Some people, Chris not the least, had different views though.
