I think it happens if you;
1) create an article
2) select the do not make public checkbox
3) Click publish
4) Edit article
5) uncheck do not make public checkbox
6) click publish.
It happened before with me, and i am sure the sequence of events was the same.
Cheers,
dave

Yes, you are correct.
Thanks for the very detailed report that make the problem easy to reproduce.
The bug is fixed, so after i will push the change to production it will not happen again
Sincerely,
Elina

I published a Programming tip yesterday THIS[^] But tip was not appeared in Home Page. So I was hoping it to be appeared today, But unfortunately NO.
Then I further investigated THIS[^] Page. Which is depicting all the TIP/Tricks published in CP everyday.
Now As I am looking in homepage The TIP published before mine is there. The TIP published after mine is also there, But Mine didn't come yesterday or today.
I am not arguing but I wan't to know whether my TIP is that much BAD that doesn't deserve to be on Home Page ?

We have an open bug that some items are being listed on the homepage according to there posted date, not moderated date. It could be the case here.

I found THIS[^] Article Ad in a Q&A forum, Kindly take an appropriate action.
Thanks.

An article ad is not really something that the CP team need to take action on. It's not somebody posting something that they would get paid for (LINQPad is free). If you don't like it, click the Vote to remove option.

Don't be. This is how we all learned the subtleties of the site.

Plz delete my article posted below link because I think its get down voted for no reason.
SQL to LINQ ( Visual Representation )

Don't. FWIW I think it is good, and judging by the voting, so do many others.
Why don't you try fixing it up a bit, make the images bigger (using gif or png rather than jpeg would make them nicer), move more stuff to the article from the blogs, etc
... and I don't think it is really fair to say "for no reason", everyone voting below 3 gave a reason (and John need not have given a reason, but did so anyway).

You'll have to wait for an admin to reply...

I was going to edit it a bit, but I'm a bit tied down right now. The images are a bit too big now, and you still have to address what John pointed out (I'm not really familiar with the finer points of LINQ, so you'll have to wait till he or someone else replies)
In the mean time, send me the originals (not JPG, whatever you captured it from. Word?). One of us will be editing it eventually anyway, so it might be helpful to have them.
(Upload them to the article in a zip and send me the link. Private email, don't post it publicly)
Not sure when I can get on it, so don't hold your breath...

There are many people who will give 1-votes with stupid or no reasons at all. So don't get let down by those. Keep up the work, in fact I found many more 5-votes than 1-votes for your article.
