Reading between the lines I may have seen something that wasn't really there at all...

No - that was due to many, many late nights speeding up hardware and software.

Hey Chris,
Since the rogue site is linking to files on CP's server, wouldn't it be easy to detect the referring URL/domain and redirect them to a blank zip file or perhaps something more interesting like a 4800 x 4800 resolution lossless JPEG of Justin Bieber.

That would only take care of attachments, and not the body of the article. Someone should find out where this loser plagiarizer lives and egg his house. Any takers?
David.

Because that will ensure he will never ever do this type of thing again! Seriously? Egg his house?
Surely it would be better to wait till he comes out of his house, and then give him a wedgie?

One of the reasons we ask for members to be logged in is specifically for things like this. They can link to downloads, but unless you're a member you won't get access.

You know I can be a bad man, Nish, but even I have my limits. There are things even I won't stoop too.

Now that is just plain mean spirited .

Sean, I can see that, this site is stealing MAX contents from CodeProject only (without any reference to the original article). It's now CodeProject's job to protect their assets.

The text of the search results is fairly difficult to recognize.
Maybe a bigger font and another placement (on the right side of the edit box).

Thanks for the Third Party sections. This has been long needed.
Will the green menu bar be updated with links to these sections? Or will there be links on the home page?

And kudos for fixing the email newsletter problem.

The sections appear in the site map[^] and will also show up in searches as per usual.

Chris Maunder wrote: The sections appear in the site map That's pretty lame. I suggest you add "Third Party" to the Articles menu, and maybe to Features menu as well.

So there is a site map! I was trying to get there from my iPhone but couldn't find it. I see now that it's linked from the homepage.

Hey Mika, feel free to reply here if that one isn't working. I usually browse through new threads in the forums in the morning as I have my coffee.
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

This event
Post a General Forum Message (undo) showed up in my reputation history. I'm a little confused about what the signficance of undo is. It sounds similar to delete, though I'm pretty sure I've not deleted any of my posts. Just curious as well, since the time of the event corresponds to when I was browsing through a bunch of Lounge posts.

It means that one of your messages was removed. Let's say you posted a message as part of a thread that was known to be posted in the incorrect forum and the original poster had been asked, politely, many times to refrain, but insisted on pursuing the issue and so (to continue the hypothetical) the entire thread was deleted because a certain admin has no more patience. In this situation you would see a reversal of points due to the entire thread being sent were it belonged.
