That could make sense as both subsystems have somewhat different capabilities; however the forum's message type isn't answer all the time, the default being general except when parented by a question (and when such general message gets upvoted, that gives 3 Debator points, not 5 Authority, another singularity); furthermore I doubt the enquirer or a passer-by will regularly bookmark more than one of a person's answers in a thread; and finally there is no equivalent for accepting an answer.

I have argued before the replies to the author of the top-level forum message should default to type answer whatever their depth in a thread. A thread possibly ending on a "you're welcome" note really is no excuse for calling everything but the top-most reply debator material. Are we to be punished for some members being polite?

I don't agree with double bookmark points in Q&A. And, if the acceptance concept is to remain in Q&A, I suggest something be done to get similar functionality and points in forums.
