Did you ever see that Twilight Zone episode where the guy walks into an alley way only to find the street, and in fact the reality, only partially built? Each minute the entire world is rebuilt, and humans move from reality to reality like they would move between train carriages. To ensure efficiency, only those bits that will actually be seen need to be built, and this man had somehow stepped outside of his allotted region of reality.
What you're seeing is an artefact from some of the reputation repopulation work that's been done over the last few weeks. I was hoping to have it all done (and debris cleaned) this weekend but work on our office systems, and a nice, chewy flu, have meant I'm behind by about a week.

Ah! So the bugs don't just affect the site...
Get well soon.
Real men don't use instructions. They are only the manufacturers opinion on how to put the thing together.

Hi!
Sometimes when I tries to send the Answer of the Question the server replies that "we have tried to sending your answer three times but we could not send it. Our Server is some overload." But when I refreshes the page Clicking Leave the page, I found that My Answer is already submitted.
Because of this sometimes I have posted my answer many times.

Can't replicate. We did have an issue a while back that may have fixed the issue he saw. Thanks for posting this, though.

If you are looking at the Technical Blog FAQ it states that the minimum length for any article is 500 words where as if you look at "Add Your Technical Blog" page it states that the minimum length is 1000 words.
Which is it?
|
|
|
|
|
It is 1000 words, our Technical Blog FAQ was out of date. Thanks very much for the catch, we have updated the FAQ

Reason: The people that start threads, dictate the direction of the discussions in the Lounge, and quite frankly today has been one of the worst.
Currently posting a message gains you one rep point and if a platinum member votes up you get +24, a vote down results in -16.
If you made a thread starter post worth 2 and then gave the votes a bigger weighting say +32 for an up-vote and -24 for a down-vote, it may help to discourage some of the poorer threads and also encouraqe people with something interesting to say to post it.
Another pro is we could have an extra statistic on our memeber page, below the message count, which shows thread count. This will make finding threads easier, as sometimes I want to find a thread started by Slacker007 say, but have to search through pages of his messages to find it.

I think you were on a slight roll until you mentioned my screen name. Instant buzz kill.

Screen name? You mean that isn't your real name, now that is a buzz kill.

He is Slacker the 7th. He just abridged that to Slacker007 for succinctness!

I think we need an alert icon for spammers and troll alerts. That way we are not using the Suggestion "light-bulb"...an alert really isn't a suggestion.
A turd with flies all around might work.

The first thought that came to mind for me was a "Whack-a-mole"
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

You're a turd with flys around? You might want to edit that sentence.

Done.
Another perfect example of how one's thoughts don't always get conveyed the proper way in print.

I don't think we need to post spammer/troll alerts in this forum anymore. We can just use the report button on the spammer's/troll's member page.

Repost!!! Speaking of, we NEED to be able to report a post as a repost; enough votes and that message gets some sort of icon that shames the OP.

The truth in the matter is that I am very reluctant to report a member as a bad seed. I, myself, am a bad seed and I would really hate it if someone reported me as a turd nugget.
