Same here.
"Please reconfirm your email by clicking here." didn't help
and
"Alternatively, paste http://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/ConfirmEmail.aspx?tg=#### into your browser address window to confirm that this is your email address."
didn't help either.
I'm using Firefox.
Can't get rid of the little yellow "blinky mail icon", too.
Tried to open "My Settings (SSL)". I had to click on that three times before it works.
What's going on? Some security breach?
Thanks for you help in advance.

Was it worth such a post? If you read this thread, you'll see that the CP team has already said they have a fix. Wouldn't you rather wait for them to make sure it doesn't have any adverse effects?

Since when have we started to expect people to be nice and civil on CodeProject? I read a few responses in the Lounge this morning and remain convinced that CP attracts some of the biggest jerks out there. Some of them are good programmers, and often do contribute to the site/community, but they are still assholes.

Not sure if that's sarcasm or not, Chris. But I try to set an example by avoiding verbal confrontations with people, never insulting anyone for their grammar/lack of knowledge/newbie-ness, and by not using the 1-vote as a fight-back response. Of course I am no way near the nicest folks here (like you, Pete, and Ravi Bhavnani to name a few that come to mind).
I don't want to mark someone's post as "abuse" (reporting the post) merely because they are rude or insulting, since it'll just result in angry threads in the Suggestions forum where people complain to you that they lost rep points, and then you mostly seem to undo the vote to get them off your back.

You see, that's what I love about British English, arseholes sounds so much classier than a**holes. That extra letter just drags that word out nicely.

Sorry, but my Trivandrum-upbringing mixed with my present-day Ohio-ness compels me into using American spelling

It looked dangerously like I was going to have 10 mins free today, so this little emergency has, thankfully, filled that dangerous gap. Give me nothing to do and I know I'd quickly degrade into sending around viral videos of kittens on trampolines and stuff.
All bad.
