And what happens when someone puts an image in that's not safe for work? Do you really want to open up an email that some "wit" has decided to put a picture of genitalia in thinking it's clever? This has been debated and the downsides are too many. If you choose to click the image link to open it, you do so of your own volition.

i don't know about how safe allowing images or not but can we check image header information to check if anything vulnerable is there ? and we can filter those kind of images to upload.
sorry if i am asking some foolish question
Thanks

Unsafe images don't always have header info that says they are unsafe. Sorry, but as has been discussed before in this very forum, this is not a great idea.

No Issue, Thanks for your time.

Why posting a link?
You can also use the img -tag.

For example write a question within:
<img src="http://s.codeproject.com/App_Themes/Std/Img/logo250x135.gif" />
The preview will be the CodeProject image that's shown on the top of this page also.

Here you go then:
As you can see - no image.

In the forums it doesn't work, but in Q&A it's working.

Why should I post a question with an image, if I don't have a question?
You can try it yourself.
Go to "Ask a question", add a
<img src="http://s.codeproject.com/App_Themes/Std/Img/logo250x135.gif" />
Go to preview, and an image is shown.
Then you can leave QA, without posting the question.

Seriously, try it and find out that you moved to Wrongville, Wrongzona. What you see in the preview isn't what you see when it's actually posted. Obviously I won't make you come back here and say how right I am. We'll just take it as read that I'm right and you're wrong.

Yes, you're right and I'm wrong.
I did test it with posting the question and I didn't get an image.

1) Check Who is Who page,
2) order by : Reputation
There are some CP Expert having less then 1000 reputation points but they still on first 10 pages(check 10th page).
Thanks

Seems to be all sorts of glitches with rep points... I assume this is the same problem.

Today, reading an article i wanted to add the article to favorites and i think it would be a nice feature to have this option to add articles to some favorites list on my profile
what do you think ?

There is bookmark feature for that.

I think the CodeProject could use a section for Small Basic.
But why would they do that?
Here's why:
1.) It's a new way to begin using VB/.NET
2.) It's a tool that can be extended, and customized for a better leaning environment.
If you want to know more about Small Basic, go to Small Basic Website

While I think SB is excellent, and am using it to introduce my son to programming, I don't think its suitable for production use, so don't see much chance of it having takeup on here.

That's sort of the issue I faced here when I joined. I had no idea what COM was or what a lot of the common acronyms were, where to begin. It all looked to be well over my head (back then). I think by adding an SB section they would only be helping the community. And if it turns out it doesn't get much attention (as even I predict that it won't for a while) it'll be just one more thing CodeProject can brag about.

Giving a solution in Q&A, which was accepted by OP, yielded one 25 too many. At least that's what showed up in the list of recently gained reputation points.
