I had did a post as the following url and there are 2 replies really disturbing me. I had even not willing to use codeproject a mush from that time.
I was just posting about an open source project and 2 users marked my message as bad it resulted in -32 points in my score.

What can I do?

Not much. Your message link does not go anywhere and the points are meaningless.

Okay.... and? Still not much you can do about it and the points still do not mean anything.
Probably someone thought you was posting a SPAM message. Personally, I would have probably found a more appropriate forum to post your advertisement rather than posting in the Lounge.

You posted in a forum where there is very little sensible activity, and lots of piss taking.
A couple of people took the piss, I doubt there was any malice intended on their part.
Despite your please and thank you your post looks to the casual observer as if you are saying "I have done a thing, bask in its glory and tell me great things", or worse "I have done a thing, make it better for me".
Hence the reports as spam.
What you can do is not be so sensitive, be aware that The Lounge in particular is a silly place, remember that points do not make prizes, and keep using the site for yourself not for others.

You know that you are complaining about a nearly 5 years old post which got downvoted?
We became pretty nervous about spam during the last five years.

I didn't notice the year at all, just saw January, although I thought it was taking a good while to return the page.
Pages from that far back don't usually turn up at all.
5 years thinking over the issue before commenting is some going, I find it hard to remember things that annoyed me 5 minutes ago.

Write an article about it. Seriously, if you want to get people interested in an OS project, the best thing to do is write an article about it. We love articles. That way, you help to drum up interest in it, and you can get feedback from people on it. I see that I responded to this email. You could easily have answered the question I raised there in an article.
So, please, write an article or two on it.

One other point - you're using XPO, which is a commercial product. If people want to use your library, then they will have to purchase XPO. Why not use nHibernate instead?

As a note, I wouldn't be too likely to use an open source code base that hasn't been updated in 4+ years either.
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

You've been put of using the site for that time because of a few flippant comments?
You may want to avoid the Internet. All of it.
Honestly:
You posted in the Lounge: People will leap on anything the think is either spam or trying to boost one's own ego. Your post fell into both of those categories to different sets of people.

Thanks god still in some sites you can report a comment on a comment or reply and it will removed and the user will acknowledged in some how.

Thank you all for your replies. And yes for a long time I didn't even update the project on CodePlex.
Idea from complaining now even after 5 years is that every time I think of an idea or article to post here I don't do because of the expected rude comments. so I decided to complain.
And yes you all know how much people like us sensitive.

You know how the tag line to Alien was "In space no one can hear you scream"? The tag line for the lounge is "In the lounge every one's a jerk every now and again". Don't be put off by one forum in this site; there are a lot of other forums here, and you will find that people warm to you over time.

As far I've seen he has apologized and admitted that he was wrong.
Why don't we give him another chance?
IMO if you wanted him gone you could just have said "Well - Byebye chap." and Wouldn't have to discuss his behaviour with him.

The message with apologies appeared after I already reported the case, but of course, I agree with you.

I thought so - That's why I told it to you. Fair treatment for you and the other guy. Since he has apologized can you remove the links to his profile from the OP? many people in here are not very good at reading posts to the end and see that he has apologized

As I say, I understand and agree.
Thank you for your note.
