No more/less worries then.... just use your font related stuffs on the content and make the stream flow as RTF... thats it.

I have this ghetto sauce little asp.net weblog thing on my site, and it works fine and everything, except.....
on the last line of every entry, there is an awkard spacing between it, and the line above it??? it's like this...
Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah \
Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah \
Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah NORMAL SPACING
Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah /
Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah /
Blah Blah Blah. !?!?! AWKARD SPACING.?S#@
any tips on how to make it have the normal spacing...??@?!?

Well I had a similar problem but that was inside
an richtext box. The solution was to change linespacing before
and after the paragraf to 0 and using the proper mask.
This is not asp.net but maybe it helps you.
PARAFORMAT2 pf;
pf.cbSize = sizeof PARAFORMAT2;
pf.dwMask=PFM_LINESPACING | PFM_SPACEBEFORE | PFM_SPACEAFTER;
pf.dySpaceAfter=0;
pf.dySpaceBefore=0;
pf.bLineSpacingRule=5;
pf.dyLineSpacing=20;

I had the article all bookmarked, ready for when the project started. Come a month later I cannot for the life of me find that damned bookmark.
Does anyone have a link to how to use a .NET Framework class from classic ASP? I don't want to use one of my own .NET classes, but one of the "officiall" .NET Framework classes. I thought I knew how to do it, but damned ASP keeps telling me my ProgID is invalid.

How can I do this?
I've used the following code snippet:
window.opener.document.forms.password.value = "Fx5dHH4Xd";
This can't be used to set or retreive values in a document in another window.
Basically I have my main window...and when someone clicks help and a new smaller window popups and based on the input the select here, when they click ok the data in the small window should be sent to the fields in the larger window(main window)

But it can, I do it all the time. Are you sure the bit of code which opens up the child window is creating a proper reference? i.e. If you go alert(window.opener) does it come back with an object or does it say undefined?

would someone gladly point me in the right direction? trying to write some code to dynamically read folder/file recursively whilst never losing the current position in the tree.......
brain is seriously scrambled! would like to use asp, but if .NET solves the problem easierly then so be it.
sample below.
"Set recRoot = Server.CreateObject ("ADODB.Record")
recRoot.Open "", "URL=http://localhost/test", adModeRead....."

thanks in advance

Not sure this helps, but...
You can set a bookmark on your recordset before you gonna enumerate and return to it when finished, restoring the starting point.
Or you can create a clone of your recordset and use the clone to enumerate, while the original will always stay where it was

<br />
<%<br />
' On Error Resume Next<br />
<br />
Set wrd = CreateObject("Word.Application")<br />
<br />
wrd.Application.Visible = False<br />
wrd.Documents.Add ()<br />
wrd.SaveAs Server.MapPath ("..\extracode") & "\myname.doc", 0<br />
<br />
doc = "This is a document"<br />
<br />
wrd.ActiveDocument.Close -1<br />
wrd.Application.Quit<br />
set wrd = Nothing<br />
%><br />
<br />
It gives the following error....
<br />
Microsoft Word error '800a175d' <br />

Could not open macro storage. <br />

try setting Word to run under Interactive user acc. You can do it using dcomcnfg.exe
Here change Identitiy to interactive user. Also, using the same program under Security tab, give the interacitve user access and lounch permissions.
Hope it helps...

Hello,
After an automatic postback, how do I return
the page to the same vertical position in the browser
window as it was before the postback event?
Thank you

Consider this approach: posting with a target of a hidden iframe on your page... no flicker, no regeneration, no scrolling.

You could use an anchor tag:
<a name="returnHere">This is where you should come back to ...</a>
If this is where they should always come back to just have the user redirected/transferred to the same URL but with the anchor reference on the end:
http://mysite.com/MyForm.aspx#returnHere
If you have multiple points that could be where you want to return them then you could pass a variable in the post and dynamically change the anchor in the postback ...

Hi,
I have a requirement like... the output of the ASP code should be saved as the .doc (MS Word 2000) format. This is just to make the output of some piece of code to be documented. Any idea??
The requirements in terms of font hanling would be.. bold/italic/underline/font size/color.
Any idea??

Hi there,
You can dynamically write office documents (word and excel) using ASP.
You might find this link useful:
http://www.infinetsoftware.com/content/officedocuments.asp
With regards to your font styles you can set this up in the document.
Hope this helps.
