A new report points to a new Windows 10 Mobile device coming this year. However, this will not the Surface Phone, which could be delayed until 2019. Does this raise some serious questions about whether the Surface Phone exists? ^WinBuzzer

Johnson's job involves using high-resolution data to analyze how extreme system behaviors sometimes surface that are not just freak accidents—like a sudden movement in the stock market or a seizure in the brain. I think Chris sent this in as an explanation for why the site loses my posts occasionally

With improvements to performance, navigation, and debugging as well as the additions of new refactorings, code style configuration/enforcement, and live unit testing, this release is chock full of advancements. Because it's not just a big text editor

It’s good to keep Windows up to date, as it ensures you’re safe from the latest security threats, and you might benefit from other improvements. However, you shouldn’t always blindly install every patch that comes along. Maybe now you really, really want to upgrade?

Scientists have trained a quantum computer to recognize trees. That may not seem like a big deal, but the result means that researchers are a step closer to using such computers for complicated machine learning problems like pattern recognition and computer vision. Still misses seeing forest

First thing I thought of when reading that caption.
So I'll go with the second thought: but does the quantum computer hear it fall?

Microsoft made a lot of changes in Windows 10 that helped it put the mistakes of Windows 8 in the rear view mirror. I wonder if they make AdBlock for Windows?

But all the worst bits of winio will eventually be insinuated into weven, as part of "security updates".
The medium-term future is "write programs for windows on non-windows machines".
