OK, this is a crazy thought of mine. When someone post something so nice and interesting, didn't you feels like you want to cyber poke them? or hit them with a cyber stick if they post something crazy?

No, I've never felt the need.

Nope. Nor do I want to throw sheep at people.
Maybe I'm just old...
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

See? I knew we shouldn't have jumped to any conclusions a month or so ago...

I would much more prefer to track them down and hit them with a real stick. Much more satisfying.

Speed of light - 186,000 mi/sec
Speed of stupid - instantaneous.

You're not poking me. Keep your filthy pokey habits to yourself.Bryian Tan wrote: or hit them with a cyber stick if they post something crazy? Right now, I wish I had the ability to deliver a slap via the internet. That would be a useful feature.

My account settings have a correct and valid email address. Every time I click the option to send an email to verify, none is received. I received email frequently from other places.
Who can I contact to get someone to check this out?
I do have an unusual site name and get email via that site.
The web site name is www.bkelly.ws It was not a problem in the past but I suspect it is a problem now.
Who can I contact to chase down this problem?
Thank you for your time

Beginning this week, every time I open the Code Project's Daily News discussion, my Avast antivirus pops up a dialogue claiming to have blocked "Win32:Crypt-RNV [Trj]". This is a new behavior, and the only time I get it. Is anyone else experiencing this? Could this be mischief in a banner ad?

No, it's anti-virus makers causing trouble.
I'll email them. It was AVG the other month.
Is it still happening?
cheers

Yes, I still get an Avast "Infection Blocked!" popup every time I enter the lounge. I waited for today's virus definition update, and the behavior has not changed.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

Looks like you've wrapped the last code block and the following text in an <h1> tag.

Thanks, I saw that (in no edit mode) and checked in edit mode and do not see a h1 tag. And also I did not enter one intentionally.

Sorry to disturb, but what means "I switched off the markdown setting for you"? Is this related to Profile or what?
Thank you in advance

When you post a message, there's a set of four checkboxes under the preview.
The fourth one is "Use Markdown formatting". This option has caused Chris to tear his hair out and curse the developer who decided to introduce it since about five minutes after Chris decided to introduce it.
Next to that option is a link to the Markdown formatting tips[^] page. Based on that, it looks like you might have had a "#" at the start of a line, which signifies a heading in Markdown.
Either that, or it's yet another Markdown bug to add to the list.

Thank you very much for your Explanation
It sounds similar to the ".ini" Settings of one our legacy applications, which is -still in production- but meanwhile hard to control, because THIS influence THAT and THAT depends on THIS
Business like usual.

Ok, now I recognize it finally, still my comment above stays valid
