This code is in the DESTRUCTOR. I had a typo in my original message, but the website won't allow me to modify it.

How to include a library (or something like that) that can play sound (wav)(but mp3 would be a lot cooler!)? I know that winmm can do something like that, but the linker bails out then.
|
|
|
|
|
See the WIN32 API function PlaySound()
onwards and upwards...

do your homework alone please... you can do this yourself, it isn't that difficult!
Don't try it, just do it!

No I can't. I assume that PlaySound etc. is declared in <winmm.h>, is that okay? Well, if it is and I build the thing (executable), the LINKER crashes, cuz there is no .lib file for that function. SO: Where the heck can I get it?!

|
Okay, I found it. It's #pragma comment(lib, "winmm.lib")

first, can you display images ? and where ?
have a look at ::StretchBlt to stretch/shrink a bitmap.

Check out CxImage. Someone posted a thumbnail function in the article discussion thread (which worked well). I haven't tried the lastest version, but it looks like he now has included thumbnail support.

I had some applications with a window with one main control in them (like an edit control). So on WM_SIZE i did a GetWindowRect() to get the size of the main window and then i used SetWindowPos() to set the edit window to those coordinates and adjust the size. But now i ran those apps on XP and they don't fit nicely anymore, i think its because of the titlebar or something, the visual themes or something. Anyone know how i can size a control so it will always fit nicely to the window?

I am looking for some sample program that will accept key strokes and then send them to another running program like Notepad. Does anyone have any sample that I can use as a starting point ? Ideally, I would like to identify the target program using mouse click or automatically by Window title. Also, being able to select and replace the entire text in the target window will be great. Also can I send mouse moves to the target window ? Too many questions,

I'm using the "delete" operator to delete linked lists I have in my application. Two of the limked lists delete fine, but the third does not. I get a message in debug "Damage after Normal block(#630) at ..." and the memory address.
It shouldn't be affected by the other lists since it doesn't work even if I change the order
Any ideas or possible solutions would be greatly appreciated
