There are a couple of chart controls at codeguru.com that might help. The newest one does bar charts. Some of them are real time trend charts as well as pie charts

Somehting like this....
In your header file
static LRESULT CALLBACK KeyboardHook (int nCode, WORD wParam, DWORD lParam );
static LRESULT CALLBACK MouseHook(int nCode, WORD wParam, DWORD lParam);
In your source file
LRESULT CALLBACK CClientDlg::KeyboardHook (int nCode, WORD wParam, DWORD lParam )
{
if ( nCode >= 0 )
{
// WHAT YOU WANT IT TO DO
}
return (int)CallNextHookEx(hHookKB, nCode, wParam, lParam);
}
LRESULT CALLBACK CClientDlg::MouseHook (int nCode, WORD wParam, DWORD lParam )
{
mousecnt++;
if ( nCode >= 0 )
{
// WHAT DO YOU WANT IT TO DO
}
return (int)CallNextHookEx(hHookM, nCode, wParam, lParam);
}
In your initdialog or constructor
hHookKB= (HHOOK)SetWindowsHookEx(WH_KEYBOARD, (HOOKPROC)KeyboardHook, 0,GetCurrentThreadId());
hHookM= (HHOOK)SetWindowsHookEx(WH_MOUSE, (HOOKPROC)MouseHook, 0,GetCurrentThreadId());

This works for dll's? Which I presume I will need to put this in to get the system wide hook?
|
|
|
|
|
Sorry... should have specified.. to make it system wide...
make the 4th parameter of SetWindowsHookEx 0 (zero), instead of GetCurrentThreadID

Does anyone know of a framework library (commercial, share- or freeware) like
MFC, or
BCG(http://msnhomepages.talkcity.com/WindowsWay/stasl/index.html), or
CJLibrary
(http://www.codejock.com/)
that's written to be used with straight C ?
I'm searching for over 3 weeks now on the internet. It looks to me that it's non-existent and/or impossible to do.

D-Flat is written in C. It's a text based GUI though. Some of the Unix GUI libraries/frameworks were written in C and are being ported to Windows. You can check the list of GUI libraries in the Mingw FAQ accessible from http://www.mingw.org and also check http://members.aol.com/lauram3017/uilibs.html for lists of available GUI frameworks. Many are in C++ but some have been written in C.

GTK is one C framework originally developed for Unix. There's also a Windows port available.

I would like toolbars like corel draws selection bars, you know the ones where the button has a little arrow in the bottom right corner, and when you select it a toolbar apears either beneath or to the side.
Please do it know or I annihilate you all.

Take a look at strstr()
char hello[1234];
strcpy(hello,"My name is Andreas and i am a programmer");
char *pnt;
pnt=strstr(hello,"Andreas");
int len=pnt-hello;
char space[100];
::MessageBox(0,_itoa(len,space,10),"Found at",0);

I am in urgent need of some source code that can be found on the CD that comes with the book "Inside MAPI". This book is out of print now.
I am attempting to (and would like code that relevant to) write an Address Book Provider.
ANY help will be appreciated.
By the way, I do know of the C sample in MSDN. It is far to difficult for me, not only because it's c, but it is COM in C, and that presents too many difficulties.
Thanks in advance.

I don't have the book, but I could send you some sample code that sends an email with an attachment....

I am trying to programmatically change the mouse
horizontal/vertical sensitivity within MSVC++ 5.0. I am
using inline assembly to invoke mouse interrupts (INT 33) to
Get and then Set the sensitivities. (Microsoft took the
Int86() function out of this version.) My problem is I lose
my mouse buttons when forcing this interrupt and I have to
reboot to get them back.
I have disassembled some current mouse drivers and am
confident(not really) that I am using the correct assembly
code. I suspect that because I am invoking the INT 33 as a
result of a button push on a dialog box that the message
queue or interrupt handler is going recursive. But I am not
sure.
I can set the mouse acceleration factors just fine by using
the SystemParametersInfo() function.
Can anyone give me a hint or a different technique on
setting the mouse sensitivities.
Below is the inline asm listing. It is in the OnHScroll
event for a slider bar.
__asm{
push ebx
push ecx
push edx
mov ax,0x001b
INT 0x33 //MOUSE_INT
mov [h], bx
mov [v], cx
mov [s], dx
pop edx
pop ecx
pop ebx
xor ax, ax
}
Thanks in advance. . .
