Any chance we can get XML instead of going the inline JScript route?
Reason for this is I'm keen to have "CP latest articles" on my homepage, but would like more control than setting a couple of global vars.

Simon

apart from current "most active" statistic,
i think there could be more statistics such as
memeber counts according to country.
"most active" according to country or region.
.....much more.
|
|
|
|
|
|
But there were nothing about "most active" according to country or region. It was just about countries jenerally Nish.

Nish post 10 message per second and sometimes he made some mistakes because he is in a hurry.
Just kidding Nish.

Since the member status is being used in the voting process now, we could have a member status count in the demographics, to know how many CPians have the Platinum, Gold, Bronze or None status.

I was wondering too. Maybe he does not like the silver users for some reason

Chris,
It would be very helpful to have a button (or a link) that displays links to the most recent (10 or 20) comments directed to a particular author. This will make it easier for article authors to respond to user questions quickly without going through each article looking for new comments.
Ok, I agree that some authors, I mean Nish, don't need this feature.

Building on that I would desparately like some form of e-mail notice when an Anonymous person posts a comment on my articles.
More than once I've missed a comment because it was anonymous.
Nothing that important though, for most authors an anonymous post means its a troll anyway

Yeah, me too. And if it's a valuable comment, i'm torn between thanking them for it and flaming them for making me miss it by posting anonymously!

I usually suggest politely that they should sign up

Tact... Hmmm... just might work!

I don't know about you, but it seems to me that the e-mail notice does not work always. I would say about 70% of the time

You should always get an e-mail notice when a member replies; anonymous replies don't give you a reply.
Sometimes the reply notices bounce back though, either your mail server is down temporarily, or there is another problem that causes it to bounce.

Hi Chris,
since the screensaver contest is over, you may link the webservice description on the CodeProject Stuff page, alongside with the IncludeLatest JavaScript.

We have a top ranked articles link... we could have a top viewed one... that would be cool...

I say we should scrap the top-ranked list and replace it with a top-viewed list.
