Webmail or mail server ? what does relay ?

I setup both on same machine with static global wan ip address and NAT translation.

You have 2 options:
1) Allow realy for specified ip range (Manager -> Security)
2) Setup smtp atuh in webmail (global.asax)

Thanks a lot.
1) Allow realy for specified ip range (Manager -> Security)
But how can i get the ip range. I want to send email to the whole world.
2) Setup smtp atuh in webmail (global.asax)
if i use it, i can't receive incoming mail from internet.
I am trying to setup email server and i am the newbe in that area.

>But how can i get the ip range. I want to send email to the whole world.
Doh, you must allowe relay for local host in Manager -> Security, and set SmtpServer as "localhost" in global.asax. You send emails out through this server, not directly to the whole world.
>if i use it, i can't receive incoming mail from internet.
Webmail smtp auth, isn't relaetd any way to recieving emails from internet.

your pop3 client has any support for gmail like mail client ?
Hi,
Gmail requires SSL ?
If .NET 2.0 allows to add SSL support, then I'll soon add SSL support to pop3 client.
I don't see that jmaildotnet supports SSL.
And also 1939 defines pop3 protocol only, no SSL support for pop3.
LumiSoft current version supports all defined RFC 1939, if thats what you need then, you have found free suitable pop3 for you.

Does any COM component you have or in .net 1.1 that can connect to gmail. So, you are saying that it is literally impossible to write ssl client using current framework.Let me know , i am curious..
I have .NET 2.0 components (SMTP/POP3/IMAP/DNS/FTP)
>that can connect to gmail
Does gmail requires SSL ? I don't know, one guy said that, I can't be sure.
If it doesn't require SSL, then you can use my pop3 component to connect ot gamil.
No, It's possible to add SSL, I just haven't done it.
I have currently put all efforst to adding new features to mailserver.
(User groups supportm shared folders,...)
You can get latest from:

Just checked gamil requires pop3 ssl.
I just made some tests .NET SSL stream works ok for pop3,
so pop3 SSL can be implmented.
This takes week or two, before i can add it.

Great, let me know if can help in that, cause i will be needing a gmail pop3 client soon.
