Hi pratik
you can use a hidden variable to store the status of the check box list, (Probably in CSV Format)
Then use window.onload event to rebind the state of the checkboxes
this should work

Hi Prasanna,
thank u very much for your immediate reply(just 6 mins)
By this do u mean that I need to store the selected values in a CSV format in a hidden variable and then during Postback, trap the window.onload event and set the selection accordingly. If yes, then in that case can u help me with the ready code (if you have one.Please accept my sincere apology for asking the same from you), since i have an immediate urgency to solve this.
Thanking you all in Advance
Regards

//Split the checkbox ids to store them in a array
arrSelValues = obj.value.split(",");

Well, contact the author then - or try someone else's code. A novel idea, try writing your own!

i want to trap the ip addresses of the remote pcs who have visited my web page.
|
|
|
|
|
HttpContext.Current.Request.UserHostAddress;
or
HttpContext.Current.Request.ServerVariables["REMOTE_ADDR"];
To get the IP address of the machine and not the proxy use the following code
HttpContext.Current.Request.ServerVariables["HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR"];
- first page result from google.

can anyone tell me how i add a custom property(userdefined) to an existing asp.net control.
For example,
Radio button has Groupname property but Checkbox doesn't have that property. I want to define the property to the Checkbox which is similar behaviour like radio button.
Hope understood.
Thanks in advance.

if you want to send and read mail in intranet or internet, you alwasys need a mail server and mailclient. you can send mail from your application and if your server allows you to read then you can read mail from your application.

Abhijit

You can't. You need a mail server to send email.

I dynamically add a usercontrol (UC1) which adds another usercontrol (UC2) dynamically and i have a button in UC2 which is supposed to fire a click event. When i press the button it does not fire the onclick but when i just add UC2 directly it works. Any ideas? Oh also UC2 has an updatepanel inside of it.

Please try to write a subject line that has any relevance to the question. Any information about how urgent the question should definitely not go in the subject line, as it never is that urgent. If it really was so urgent you wouldn't ask in a public forum, you would just pay soneone to do it.
You have to add the user controls again in every postback, otherwise the event isn't wired up to anything.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.
